We should either go the full 8 years or a 3 year bridge and nothing in between. An 8 year deal is my total preference because it locks him up for his entire 20's. A 3 year deal would still leave him as an RFA at the end of the contract so we don't risk losing him. I have no interest in a 5 or 6 year deal that only buys 1 or 2 UFA years. That sets him up for a chance to lose him in his prime.

Welcome back, man. We drafted Nylander over a defenseman but also traded Psysk for Kulikov (LHD) from Florida. Kane is back up to his antics, this time an altercation in a bar so hopefully it was all on tape. Traded for Veseys right's from Nashville and everyone loved him and was assuming he'd sign but since he hasn't half the people here now hate him and think he's just entitled even though it makes them come off as entitled. Logo has changed along with the new default avatar. Oh and Lebron James is a horrible human being but they'll probably make him grand poobah of Cleveland (hopefully followed by locusts or something like that) since he did his Moses impression and brought the Cavs tothe promised land single handedly with only his bare hands and iron will.

Who knows? You'd have to ask the guy who paid said price (GMTM). Maybe he was instructed to by his meddling boss, maybe Eichel convinced him it was a sure thing, or maybe just maybe Murray though it was worth the gamble given our plethora of picks and the fact that you can only have 50 players under contract anyway. The price we paid to Nashville isn't Vesey's fault though. It's not like Murray consulted with his agent first, they seemed legitimately surprised by the news.

I guess I should have clarified that Vesey has done nothing wrong to us. Assuming he told Nashville he was planning to sign with them and then reneged on that promise than I can see where Nashville fans should be pissed off but if anything that should make Buffalo fans feel even less entitled in all of this. He's not obligated to sign here and it makes even less sense for him to do it just weeks before his opportunity for 28 other teams to make a pitch for why he'd be a good fit with them.

It's posturing, man. Plain and simple. He holds all the cards right now and the minute he signs that goes away almost completely. I guarantee you that no matter who he signs with once he does his initial press conference he go into the standard spiel of being grateful for the opportunity, thinks team X is a really great fit, and how it's time to lace up the skates and earn his spot on the team. After he signs you won't hear a peep about guaranteed spots on any line, PP time, or anything like that. Seems like people just enjoy having their feathers ruffled over a guy who hasn't really done anything wrong.

Good point. Either way, my point still stands, even if PA's post was in jest. The people who are pissed off that Vesey hasn't signed here when he never said he would are acting way more entitled than Vesey.

No offense man (you're one of my favorite posters), but expecting him to just sign with us because we gave a 3rd round pick to Nashville even though him and his agent have said all along that he planned to pursue free agency and then being bitter about makes all the butt hurt fans sound more entitled than Vesey.

You smoked it now for a party that isn't for a couple of weeks? What do you wrap it in before you freeze it? I'm guessing either some kind of butcher paper/freezer bag combo or some kind of super Tupperware but I'm curious because I've never put cooked meat back in the freeze unless you count hot dogs because they already come pre-cooked.

Why does everyone think he should have already signed when he hasn't gotten to even talk with anyone yet? If the Sabres really want him to sign before 8/15 they should at least let him talk to other teams after they make their pitch. Make your pitch, give him permission to talk with everyone else then bring him back in amd see if he'll sign here. If he won't then figure out if he's leaning towards a certain team and see if you can get a 3rd back from that team. If he's truly undecided let him wait and see if any team wants his rights to negotiate until 8/15. If not just wait and see what happens.

If you're really hurting I'd recomment bc powder. It's basically crushed up aspirin mixed with caffeine but since it's already broken down it kicks in almost immediately. Other OTC pain relief seems to take 30 minutes or more to kick in.

The whole woe is Buffalo mantra will probably exist until they win a cup or Super Bowl. Coming close won't cut it because the Bills and Sabres have both been close and the mantra still exists.

You could do something similar without violating TM issues though couldn't you? Sabrespace in bigger letters and the Aud Club underneath with the sabres going through it similar to how it is going through Buffalo in that one. It doesn't even have to be the same font, but I would make it something easy to read.

I think it's a coin flip. It's unlikely he'll return to his old form but it's also unlikely he'll stink as bad as last year. Hopefully the remarks about his conditioning serves as a wake up call and he dedicates the time to get back in shape and he returns to some moderately productive form. The team should give him a chance but if it's obvious that he's nothing but a shell of his former self they should play him on the 3rd or 4th line until the end of the season and encourage him to retire. Give him a cushy job teaching kids at the Harbor Center and let him ride off into the sunset. No buy out because it will double the length of time his contract stays on the books.

So you'd demote Kane to the 3rd line in order to put Moulson on the top line? I don't see that as likely at all. Since Vesey isn't signed (I still think he will be and I think we could sign him sooner if we give him permission to speak to anyone he wants for a week to expedite the process) I think Ennis gets the promotion from 4th line duties from my previous version. It needs a touch of gray just like the Sabres use. Maybe in the armpits of the P, B, and R. In all seriousness though it looks fine to me. I'd probably go for a more standard font and maybe have a picture of a Sabre under the script but this one works.
