  1. I wish they would put Kulikov with Ristolainen on the top pair and put Gorges with Bogosian on pair 2 with McCabe and Franson taking the 3rd pair until we upgrade from Franson and eventually Gorges.
  2. These Ashes?
  3. Sounds good. I am officially at 1135.
  4. I didn't bet the Winnipeg game but I'd like a ruling on whether I'm at 1195 or 1135. What was our official line for the Florida game?
  5. I knew this would happen but I will gladly take the loss of fake dollars. Down to 1195 or 1135 depending on whether -125 or -140 is the official line for our contest.
  6. At 1695 and 4 units on Florida at -125. Should put me at 2095 if the expected happens or hopefully the Sabres prove me wrong and I go down to 1195. We'll have to wait and see.
  7. I don't think there's any way in hell he gets bought out. If I remember right the last 3 or 4 years of his deal only pay him $1 million per season. Odds are he'll retire rather than play those final years for such a small payday. The recapture will be paid by the team who got the benefits as well which would be Nashville. I'm not certain but I also think the cap recapture penalties are worse if he's on another team's roster rather than Nashville when he retires. If that's the case Montreal will have leverage to force Nashville to trade them a kings ransom in exchange for a retired Weber just to keep the recapture penalties reasonable.
  8. Yeah, $100 isn't bad. I don't remember the price but back when they first got the licensing it was way higher than that. I wanna say it was at least double that which would have meant $400 for 2 teams.
  9. I knew it was local (WNY) but didn't remember the exact location. The sad thing is how expensive replacement men can be. I wanted to order Sabres players instead of the standard blue and red teams but I called their customer service line a few years ago to inquire about it and the prices were astronomical due to licensing. When I got mine 7 or so years ago it wasn't even an option. I don't have the skill or patience to try to hand paint them so I just leave it as red vs blue.
  10. I've got this exact game in my kitchen where a table is supposed to go. Audio from Rick Jeanneret and all. I'm down in Jacksonville, NC though so you'll have to find another one. Still the best toy I've ever owned though, edging out the original Nintendo.
  11. I think Murray's biggest mistake will prove to be hiring Byslma.
  12. Up to 1695 now. Wish I had bet the house on Minnesota.
  13. Sorry, you can't change the argument now. I never said there would be no interest in him, I said you were full of it because you said you guarantee that every single cup contender will be knocking down Murray's door to get Moulson. That's not going to happen for a number of reasons including some contenders flat out won't have the cap space for an addition with his salary and even some of the teams who do have the cap space will be wary of going after Moulson because he's getting up there in age and they won't want to risk having to pay him $5 million per year for 2 more seasons after their cup run.
  14. Right now the deal is fine. It's down the road when Montreal will begin to regret this trade given that Weber is already 31 and is signed for another decade (probably not but I'm too lazy to look it up). Of course Nashville is probably the one on the hook for the majority of the salary cap recapture so by the time he starts looking like Joe Finley out there it's likely he'll retire and Nashville will be the ones dealing with the cap hit.
  15. Likely it is the stomach flu or some other kind of sickness. Flu/sickness is probably on par with the old upper/lower body injury. Keeping information close to the vest.
  16. My dog is the exact opposite. She rarely has accidents anymore but when she does piss or in the house it is always on the carpet. Luckily I keep 2 puppy piss pads in her 2 favorite spots and if she does have to go because no one is home to let her out she usually goes on one of the pads (as long as we have them out). However, when she throws up it's always on the kitchen floor. I've never seen one bit of dog puke anywhere in the house but on the kitchen floor. At least she's consistent though, so I don't complain much.
  17. So the Wild are -140? If so I put one unit on them and I'm currently at 1595. Edit: I guess they are at -150. Still one unit on them and currently at 1595.
  18. You are full of it. You can't guarantee anything and most of the team that are contenders for the cup won't have the space to add a $5 million winger that scores most of his points on the power play who is already on the decline age wise and still has 2 years left on his contract. So not only would the market for him likely be extremely limited, I highly doubt the few GM's that would even be interested would be knocking down the door to try to pry him off our roster. I'm as happy as anyone that he's back to producing but your ballwashing on his behalf is reaching ridiculous levels.
  19. I don't watch a lot of games that don't involve the Sabres but from reading HF boards while waiting for new posts on here it may be Pittsburgh if they are unable to unload Fleury. They'd be forced to protect him and his NMC and then possibly lose their other young goalie. I believe the Wild have 5 good defenders so their best bet is to stand pat, protect 3 of them, lose 1 and still yield a good top 4. I imagine other teams with good defenses (Nashville and Winnipeg) will likely go the 8 skaters and a goalie route to protect their top 4.
  20. If Moulson was on an expiring contract I could definitely see a team picking him up at the trade deadline but with 2 more additional years I find it highly unlikely.
  21. Yeah, they'll likely finish last for a few seasons, but with the right GM and some good draft picks they should be competitive in the near future. Icing a team of #4 dmen and a couple of decent goalies will go a lot farther towards making them competitive more quickly. Add in the fact that forwards develop more quickly than d men or goalies and within a few seasons they should be able to sprinkle in some good young forwards from the draft as well. Plus they should have plenty of money to plug roster holes in via Free Agency. How so? They can only lose 1 player.
  22. Good on you, Hank for making a new one. I live in NC and don't listen to the show but I enjoy reading up on what they talk about even when things go off on tangents.
  23. I was quoting from a song that fits his point of view perfectly.
  24. I could see them trading somebody like Marner plus a sweetener for Lindholm. I hope not, but it's definitely a possibility. Especially after they've been able to unload the Phaneuf, Clarkson, and Kessel contracts.
  25. Amurrica! ###### Yeah! Coming again to save the mother f'n day now! Amurrica! ###### Yeah! Terrorists your game is through, cause now you have to answer to, Amurrica! Yeah! So lick my butt and suck on my balls!
