I always liked hefty smurf for his nickname.

Drew Stfford - I believe it was Dark who decided he needed to lose not only the A on the front of his jersey, but also the A in his name.

Also, referring to Gerbe as a center

I'm definitely jealous. I'm going to have to harass my Mom and get her to make some again. It's been a few months since I've had it.

I remember the days when only important people (doctors and drug dealers) had cell phones and pagers. I was the last person in my group of friends to get a cell phone but I finally broke when I moved and decided paying for an extra cell phone on my Dad's plan for around $20 per month was better than paying around the same for a land line at my new place. This was around 2004 I think.

My Mom makes Hungarian Goulash that is essentially stew beef and onions with gravy over egg noodles as well. From looking at your recipe it's probably similar, although I don't think she uses tomatoes in hers (if she does, it's tomato paste and not actual tomatoes. Goulash in central/eastern Europe is basically like chili in the US or just the word stew. Infinite types and varieties and pretty much always delicious.

Not all of them are and they shouldn't be but some are. For private colleges and some charter schools are run by for profit companies.
-
Exactly. The profit motive is good for many industries but this country would be way better off if certain industries were not based on a profit motive. I'd say healthcare/medicine, prisons, education, and utilities are/would be much better systems without being run by people who answer to shareholders before anyone else.

I like Elizabeth Warren a ton and I wanted her to run before Bernie decided to but the Pocahontas thing is pretty funny. That being said that's really the only arrow in his quiver that Trump would have against her other than the standard Washington insider nonsense. With Hillary there was emails, Benghazi, the Clinton foundation, and Bill. It's one of the main reasons I wanted her to throw her hat in the ring. She is basically Bernie Sanders without the dreaded socialist label.

It's time to place the blame (or credit) for all this mess where it squarely belongs, on Terry Pegula and Rogers media. If they had let Trump buy the Bills for his $1 billion bid he would have never run for President. Then instead of making America great again he could be making th Bills great again, at least until he moved them to Vegas or some where else to make more money.

Let 'em hang themselves on this issue. Attitudes on pot have been changing and they are definitely in the minority overall. A green wall will replace the old blue wall and it will cost them in future elections while people who smoke pot will continue to do so. States who have legalized it will continue to look the other way and it will take an expansion of federal government to raid all those state sanctioned weed shops and all the people who grow dope in their own homes.

I added to my previous post to clarify my thoughts a little bit more. What Reid did was bound to come back and bite him but given the blanket road blocking exhibited by Congress he had to do something. As I said before I have no issue with obstruction to certain bills, appointees, or whatever, but I don't care for blanket obstruction of all judges, cabinet members, legislation, etc. Obama faced obstruction at unprecedented levels. I've never seen the leader of the minority party declare that they plabned to flat out obstruct every single thing they possibly could.

I was just curious. I don't have the brain capacity to remember everyone's positions on here for every topic going back however many years on this thread/board. You said yes, I'll take your word for it, and even applaud your consistency. I imagine many people will not be happy with the obstructions, especially ones that were pleased with the ones that kicked into high gear starting in 2008. I also imagine those who were mad at them before will be happy for them now. Personally, I dislike blanket road blocking as a go to move, but think filibustering is essential to keeping 51% of Congress from controlling 100% of all decisions for the American government. I'd rather them pick and choose their spots to obstruct.
-
Will you still feel this way if it means Democrats utilizing the filibuster to prevent Trump and the GOP from getting things done though?
-
Down to 790. Still glad they beat Pittsburgh.

I just don't have your optimism. If the American public was that smart they would stop voting for supply side economics because it has proven it just doesn't work, yet every 4 years Republcans promise that cutting taxes and derugulation will magically unchain the "caged beast" that is our economy ad fix everything yet it never does. Trump has already talked about striking a deal to get all the untaxed money from overseas and everyone ignores that W did this exact thing while he was in office. The GOP talked about what a big boost this would provide the economy but it did the exact opposite. Corporations brought in all those profits, payed miniml tax on them (I think it was 4 or 5 percent but I'd have to look it up) and what did the all mighty corporations do? They laid off thousands of workers and used the money to buy back their own stock in order to boost profits per outstanding share. Thousands of people lost their jobs, unemployment rose, and minimal revenue was added in tax revenue while states were left to pick up the tab in skyrocketing unemployment benefits. This was 2004, after the age of tv and internet, yet once again they are proposing it as some great ideas that will help Americans and the economy.

Exactly. Look how many of them ended up towing the line in the end. A few notables still oppose him but they'll fall in line when he throws them a few carrots in the form of tax cuts and pro Jesus legislation. He may be opposed on a few things but for the most part he'll get whatever he wants for at least 2 years.

At 1615 and I'll put 5 units on Pittsburgh at -165. Please prove me wrong Sabres.
-
I saw that too but I'm already sick of DB and his system so I've chosen tofocus on the negative. Because Buffalo or something. One Buffalo....one heaping pile of Bison .

http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/11/18/evander-kane-score-two-goals-against-the-sabres-and-youre-going-to-win/ Saw this article with a quote from Kane. Wonder if there's dissention in the ranks.

Any chance Obama can sneak Garland in with a recess appointment before Trump's inauguration?
-
Ha ha! They also remember when certain folks weren't allowed on golf courses.
-
At 1615 now. Should have bid more units.

I second this. Leftover turkey sandwiches are always better than the actual meal itself. I usually sprinkle a little bit of onion and garlic powder directly on the turkey when I make my sandwiches as well, along with the lettuce, onion, mayo, etc.
