Dear lord I need to confess my sins. Although I cheered for every Bufallo goal in todays game I felt relieved when the Panthers scored 4:3 goal. I felt happy and deeply ashamed. Please let us be great next season so that such things never repeat. Back to GDT. This is what I hate in the US sport system ( Don't understand me wrong, I love the balance in NHL the trade dead line and the playoffs). But when you are bad, you really need to be bad to draft high. My favorite soccer club Borussia Dortmund really sucked during the first season half. They were even on last place, which means to go down one league at the end of the season (to a league like ahl level). Now they won 4 games in a row and I am relieved that they are back in the mid field. Buffalo on the other hand needs to lose so we get even more better with McEichel next seasons. How can I cheer to win games without any sense? I am looking forward to next season when the lottery changes even more. By the way if I remember correctly Alexander Daigle was also a generational talent during his draft, when Ottawa won the race of shame. He was a bust, so this can happen.

This was a good game. First period was defensively very sound. We allowed only 2 Tampa shots. Great D, great goaltending and Nolans system seems to be understood and working. And we have pciks and awesome prospects in our pipeline.

I watched both games against Montreal and I think the Sabres did an awesome job to get away with two Ws. They are confident and really were hard to play against. Good goaltending, good D. If this team had a first line in addition to GEM as second line we would be nearly there ( being a contender) I think we really need to fix Hodgson. I would like to see Grigorenko between him and Stewart, because of the chemistry they had in preseason and to have a center capable to win some faceoffs. This weakness on the point costs us dearly. Yes we mitigate this by blocking shots and hitting people, but this has to change. Did Hodgson win a faceoff in this game? I think he lost the first eleven in arow. I also liked Schaller. Similar to Deslaurier. Young responsible grinder with good defensive awareness. He is a good gap filler for grinder injuries.

That was a nice win. I think Neuvirth kept us in in the beginning but then we were just rolling. This was a good effort combined with some luck that the picks went where we wanted them. Zemgus will be our captain and our go to guy in the future. There is so much left to discover. I also love that Deslaurier is here. Solid hard checking 4 liner with the right mindset. i like him. I wish Moulson, Ennis, Girgenson would be our second line. It would be a good- great second line. With Risto Zads, Myers and Gorges we have 4 good defenders, add McCape and Pysik and I think we are fine. Neuvirth I believe is also a gem in the making. Good eye Tim! I hope that Grigorenko and Armia pan out and that with one of the top 2 picks and Mike Babcok ( i google how he is written in few minutes) as vastly overpaid coach we get the curve soon(ish). I do not see Hodgson, Foligno, Stewart and Mitchel as parts in the future. McCormick Deslaurier, Gionta I can.

I am really thinking about travelling to Buffalo for this game ( from Germany). But what I would need first is a ticket. Can you give me tip/ hint were I can get one? I am currently checking flights to Bufallo. I also think about coming for some more days of course, so some tips what you would propose atourist to do around Buffalo ( maybe Niagra Falls and the hockey hall of fame in Toronto) Thanks for your answers
