  1. Hehe, good call!
  2. I like that they do not surrender. They fight, play with some grit and show the right mind set. Yeah we won't get a top draft pick, but hey there is still the lottery. I would despise them if they would lose on purpose. Now we get to see some games which are fun and exciting to watch.
  3. Hilarious!
  4. good first game.
  5. Yeah the game is boring. But this is better than embarassing. edit: correct missing verb
  6. Very good post and i totally agree.
  7. I liked many posts in here but this one i like especially. WELCOME. You are right, the fans are not responsible for the product on the ice, but in my opinion they can make it better by supporting their team. What i learn here is that many fans are deeply frustrated. I am not lucky enough to be a Buffalo resident with season tickets for more than 10 years, so i can not feel exactly the same. But i believe if everybody in the arena is cheering instead of booing they feel better and the product would also be better. A kind of psychological effect. If you tell yourself you are happy many times you believe it sometimes.
  8. Great show. I like it very much!
  9. You are right with both. The debate is not winable and drunken fans are often more vocal than the same fans being sober. For the first point i wish everybody who do not believe in fan support to sometime visit a very important European soccer game with two equally strong teams. The best would be are derby.
  10. Yes i do, because normally the hardcore fans are the vocal ones. Your team plays better if you support it, that is a fact for me. I am surprised that they won the game after this. This is an example for good work ethic. Some other teams may have had a breakdown after this.
  11. I totally agree Peppy. In Mannheim or Berlin you would support your team in such a situation. Some Rookies and other bottom liners were caught. As fan you have to support them. To boo them is embarassing.
  12. I read this thread arounds three hours ago, and nobody posted. But now still no post. Are you not excited to make a run for draft spot nr 10-14? Nah i am just kidding, i believe we loose this game 2:1. Maybe i will watch it tomorrow recorded as whole game.
  13. I totally agree. If we want to trade him, we need him to stay in the showcase.
  14. Haha, you are right. There are not so many good German hockey players. On my team there are two of them and Hecht is my favorit German hockey player. Of course he is a fourh line player, that is clear for me too, but it is nice to see that he assisted on the game winner and scored the safety goal by himself. He gets burned here in this forum so often that i enjoy it if he plays an important role in a win.
  15. I watch the recorded game this morning. Yeah there is some bright shining talent missing, but the effort was right. I also loved Ott with an A. To be honest he is performing like a C to me. Right effort, good communication, nice hits and a goal. Also Pysyk and Pardy were a great pairing. Myers looked very good with Ehrhoff, who is by the way our clear number one defender this year. To see Gerbe with Hodgson and Ott and our so called number one line was strange. But this will be over when Vanek and Leino will be back sometimes. I was surprised how good the Hecht, Scott and Kaleta line worked. Hechts backhand goal was amazing. Did he ever score with his forehand? :). Adams goal was fine. He is a good shooter, but his skating style remind me of Gaustad. It does not look fluid, it is looking like a never ending fight between his legs, his skates and the ice. But the goal was great. The secondary scoring we mist at the beginning of the season is now the only source of our scoring. This is great, because it shows that the players are showing some effort. I liked the way we played, i liked the win, although we will miss the top five draft picks. I strongly believe we go on a strong playoff push the last eleven games and will miss them by one point. Enjoy the ride, enjoy the entertainment, don't grieve that we do not tank.
  16. what is happening there?
  17. Will the Penguins slughter a Buffalo tonight and grill some fine Buffalo steaks? Or will the Sabres fight like men, filet some Penguins, show up and win a totally unimportant game?
  18. Another good overview article http://www.thefourthperiod.com/trade_deadline/top25/index.html 7 of 25 are already gone
  19. But he can change into a team leader with less instigating and more kickinghis team mates to show aom heart and grit. Yeah this would be a change for him ,but a captain who hits, show heart and grit and also can fight would be a very positive change in my opinion. I know he can change to be the player we really need. A core of highly motivated players like Ott, Weber and Foligno qould be a good start. Then we need to add some talent a stable defense with Miller in the net and hockey in Buffalo could beok again.
  20. Maybe you have read this one too: A source close to Ryan Miller says he has no true sense of whether the goaltender will still be on Sabres after trade deadline. #RT via @BuffNewsVogl
  21. Hehe, that would be awesome. Another tweet, which is very interesting: Sabres' Pominville has submitted list of teams for trade possibilities to help Regier do his job, captain says http://t.co/WGs2Ch3kvh #RT via @BuffNewsVogl Ott for C?!
  22. Jagr a Bruin? What a shame! I love the player but really hate his team.
  23. But maybe NY and Columbus miss the playoffs. Then we would have two more lottery tickets for the Nr. 1 pick. I think the three picks are not so bad especially if we are going on a long rebuild, which would not be acceptable for Vanek. But you may also be right off course.
  24. Give them Vanek for those three first rounders. We will need a long rebuild and for that he do not want to be here.
