    Four years ago, whilst going though a divorce with three kids, our beloved family dog died of basically old age, albeit we were not expecting it. It was a difficult time. Flash forward to today. I'm remarried and my wife and youngest daughter and I will go this afternoon to adopt a rescue St. Bernard mix and bring her home to be part of the family. She's 3 years old, unwanted by a puppy mill in Ohio as she couldn't produce pups. She seems to have a great personality and a lot of potential for growth into a great family pet. It's going to be a lot of work but I believe it will be worth it.

    It's not unfair at all. It's the life in the United States. Every person faces the same choices in cost of living vs. geographic preferences. Jimmy Vesey specifically shunned Nashville (and Buffalo) for NY City despite the higher taxes. Same thing with Kevin Shattenkirk. It's a free market thing. I am no Bettman fan but don't blame him for not 'fixing' this situation.

    Who knows but I don't agree. Henrique may not be as good as Kane in some respects but Centers have more value than Wingers in the league. Add another year of reasonable salary (vs. pending FA for Kane) and I don't see it. That is unless they can get some dumbass like Bergevin or Chiarelli to agree to something excessive, which would be ideal.

    Henrique was signed for this year and next. Kane is pure rental. I think Vantenen alone would have been more than fair return for Kane.

    Moving Nolan to the 2nd line and Pouliot to the 4th is just plain stupid. Pouliot has 6 goals and Nolan isn't really very good at hockey. Phil is desperate.

    This is why I won't pay money to see the Sabres anymore. They can't score...and you know they can't score! Makes it so uninteresting. Maybe one day that will change.

    If you start with the premise "Peterman sucks" then the discussion is quite simple and I follow your logic, sir. To the extent that the Bills coaching staff obviously didn't agree with that premise (maybe they do now?) then they reached a different conclusion at that time.

    It's funny, I read the first one and thought "that would be a reason to start Peterman". In other words, under no reasonable circumstances do you expect to win a shootout with Taylor at QB. Maybe Peterman would have provided the upside (and maybe he still will someday) to provide that 400 yard, 4 TD passing game you sometimes need. Nothing is free so of course it comes with risks of interceptions and fumbles of so forth. Unfortunately that's what happened. But with Taylor there is limited downside and unfortunately limited upside too as he doesn't even pass for 300 yards except in a few cases during garbage time.

    The mitigating factors are that most of them are co-workers I get along pretty well with, and the 'free' part.

    #11 and #18 appear to have the biggest names on this list. Would have to see middle names as well to be sure however.

    If Tyrod starts vs. SD obviously things play out differently but I have serious doubts they win that game anyway the way the defense was playing and the way SD is playing. I mean, we'll never know but McDermott will get trashed for the decision until the Bills make the playoffs in any event. I am going to Pats game this weekend with 19 Patriots fans and me in my Throwback Thurman jersey and Bills Santa cap. Bus ride to and from the game, free ticket in box seats with as much free food and drink as desired...I couldn't say no.
