  1. I think he went out but they called OT and then he didn’t come back out.
  2. I don’t like Sobotka with Skinner in OT. One guy with great hands with a guy with stone hands.
  3. Glad to get a point out of this turdburger
  4. Reimer moved like a pregnant water buffalo there

    Tears?

This is so odd. I had the same vision of a game 7 and time ticking down and had a wave of emotions flood over me before pulling back from the precipice and back to reality. This is not something I ever do. The tears did well up a bit when I saw the teen with the completely bald head getting fist bumps before the 3rd period from the team and a hand shake from Coach Phil, then hearing that Beualieu is going to ring the bell with her in a month at Roswell.
  6. I believe you kept that letter for a reason as I noticed the 1986 season ticket holder letter says "Five players substantially improved their plus minus ratings - the talent is there!".
  7. Not going anywhere so long as the Pegula's own them. A solid plan and lease can help ensure their future in Buffalo regardless of ownership. Not saying I think the Pegula's are selling, but crazy stuff happens all the time, says the fan of the team once owned by the Rigas family. Not to mention Paul Allen who proved that money alone cannot defeat the Big C. Etc.
  8. Preferred coffee (and tea) in my house comes from Taiwan. The coffee is from various South American locations but roasted in one particular coffee shop in Tainan. I don't know what it is but they just nail it. We buy 6 or 8 bags of beans and keep them frozen until needed. Just ran out today in fact and lo and behold the wife is heading over to Taiwan this Thursday and will replenish the supply! We drink it hot and black. Am getting interested in cold brewing however after reading this thread... Taiwanese tea is at a standard I can't find in the US. Outstanding.
  9. They were on the side of the building. I don’t think those doors were used for entering but we used for fast exits at the end of the game.
  10. A great memory I have shared on here in the past; sitting in the corner 2nd row in Ted Darling's seats (my friend's family were his neighbors in Lockport) and watching Danny Gare score 4. Another one was seeing Team USA with still-a-Sabres Tom Barrasso in net beating I believe it was the Czech Republic. Went to a few Braves games as a kid before they moved. Saw some good concerts there too...Boston, Rush, Iron Maiden...even saw The Moody Blues with Steve Ray Vaughn opening up. The orange seats were so intimidating to sit in with the incline. I loved walking up those large concrete ramps, in the bowels of the building, in anticipation of seeing that bright white ice below.
  11. TT has been very streaky for sure. 13 straight without a goal to start the season. But he does have an assist and we know he can score goals given his whopping 3 in 41 games last year. Yeah, I'd say 2nd line sounds about right. In Rochester.
  12. Only if Dahlin's head was about 4' 11" off the ice. Foligno didn't leave his feet and barely raised his elbow. Nonetheless, it was so slow and weak Dahlin just swerved away easily.
  13. I don't believe Foligno could do this with a legal hit (destroy Dahlin, that is). He's not nearly quick enough to catch Dahlin with such a tactic. More likely than not he ends up whiffing in air or hitting the boards empty handed. Illegal hit is another story but that's not what was going on here.
  14. When factoring in % of salary cap consumed I think it's a lot closer than you think (in value, that is).
