  1. Three Centers...I feel like this doesn't bode well for Mittelstadt being with the organization long term.
  2. I was happy to see this thread re-activated and read what everyone is doing. I went back to my last post (above with updates as to what actually happened) and couldn't help but think about that God enjoy a good laugh when I make plans. Also it seems that my wife is willing to go to extreme lengths to avoid going to concerts with me. Since then, much to my surprise, I only made it to one more CMAC show (Ringo Starr in May) before we ended up moving to Colorado. Now when I walk out my front door and look across the roofline, I see the Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Tickets to Tedeschi Trucks Band and Krauss/Plant at Red Rocks are acquired. Also have tickets to see Gov't Mule in a small theater in Boulder in September and The Who in the hockey arena in October.
  3. Thank you. Interestingly, I tried this first and just tried it again and no luck. All I get is a text version of it. For example here is what I get for a Sabres pre-draft preview video on YouTube: 2022 NHL Draft Late-Round Sleepers | Sabres Draft Show - YouTube I'm baffled.
  4. https://twitter.com/barstoolsports/status/1544697450669252618 People can be so stupid.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UHKB6nQrzM edit: I don't know how to embed videos so you can see what they are beforehand. This one is a (I think) hilarious Bud Light commercial that relates to 'sausages'. That is all.
  6. I really look forward to the day when the Sabres are good enough and relevant enough for this fan base to at least appear on such a list as Most Annoying.
  7. I, for one, am excited to see Phil Cedarquist lace them up in Rochester next year.
  8. Kadri is a guy who could help the Sabres. However, so are Wilson, Marchand, and Gudas. And I don't want any of them on a team I root for.
  9. I use FB Marketplace at times and have been unloading stuff left and right recently as we are moving. Used to use Craigslist in a similar manner. I prefer FB as it at least requires someone to have an account that you can look at and make a judgment as to whether you do or do not trust them relative to meeting when they say they will, or coming in your house, etc. for those large items where you can't just meet them in the driveway. It's not perfect but if you look at a dude's FB account and he's posting about his little kids all the time and saying Happy Mother's Day and so forth, and lives 10 minutes from you, etc., how risky is it really? Just a heads-up that frequently people will message you saying "I am interested" or even "Would you take $X for it?" and you can reply, and then you never hear from them again. I don't understand that behavior but it happens a lot. Lastly, and perhaps it goes without saying...people are really looking for cheap stuff and good deals on FB Marketplace. It's not like eBay where you can name your price and wait it out with an international buying pool. Basically assume you'll get less than what you'd expect to pay at the Salvation Army store for most things. But it's cash and you don't have to dispose of the item...
  10. That 'Panthers going all the way pick' I made seems pretty dumb in retrospect.
  11. Samson beats Samsonov, and none of the announcers make hay with that. Weak.
  12. Serious talent in Dallas (sitting behind Bowness that is)
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fuk4DM5LxM I was born in the rain by the Ponchatrain Underneath the Louisiana moon I don't mind the strain of a hurricane They come around every June High black water โ€“ a devil's daughter She's hard and she's cold and she's mean But nobody's taught her that it takes A lot of water to wash away New Orleans
  14. Yes, my kid works for Oxford Pennant, so I'd like to see them get the business. ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSypZulEPDE Would have preferred they scored 3 or 4 early and knocked him out of the game but will use it now.
  16. Got it! ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Will give it a shot
  18. Anyone know of a link to watch this game for those of us who's Spectrum package only occasionally shows Sabres games, but are being blocked on ESPN+ because I am in region?
  19. Tie breaker is wins in regulation. Vegas actually has more than Dallas.
  20. I am rooting for Colorado and Minnesota. I am in the process of moving to the Denver area, so the more playoff games that happen, the more likely I can see one live, especially if my company's box has an open seat (unlikely it gets down the pecking order to me, but who knows.) Interesting factoid: Avalanche games haven't been on TV in the Denver area for this season and I think even longer. Some sort of dispute between networks/broadcasters. (I didn't care enough to learn the details). Minnesota because it is the State of Hockey and they deserve it. Also, as mentioned above, I too like Marcus Foligno and also Kevin Fiala, who the Sabres should look into an RFA offer sheet this off-season. I can't actively root for anyone in the East. It's more a question of who I dislike less.
  21. I just looked at Tage since Feb 1st (randomly chosen date because it was easy to get the stats and I feel like his game has really picked up since then). It's 34 games. In that time he has 22 goals and 12 assists. Projecting to 80 games (I always assume guys miss at least 2 games a season) that's 52 goals and 22 assists = 80 points. Probably won't happen, but if Tage puts up 50+ goals in a season I am going to call him Eichel's equal, in my mind at least.
  22. I'd take Asplund over Larsson at equivalent points in their careers. I never understood the Larsson love around here. To me he was pure tank material. Whereas Asplund can be a value-add 4th line defensive-minded forward who chips in on driving some offense.
  23. Is that relative to all NHL defensemen or a 19 year old playing in his first game and logging 19 minutes? Either way, I'm willing to give him until game 3 or even game 4 to see if he has more willingness to generate offense by pinching more.
