Kim Pegula suffered a Cardiac Arrest;Has residual Aphasia and Memory Issues
TheAud replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
When me or my family is going through something difficult, I think it's reasonable to give some limited information ('health scare', 'substance abuse problems', ' family issues') and also ask for prayers/thoughts without going into any detail on what is happening within the family. I don't see why the Pegula's should operate any differently. They are not elected officials, nor do they have public shareholders. Sure, they own assets that are intimately tied to the public both financially and emotionally, but so far as I can tell Terry is still front and center in the public view (to the extent he ever is) and running the show, so let's just give Kim time to go through what she has to go through. -
Front Page Changes: News logos and Playoff Pace chart added
TheAud replied to SDS's topic in The Aud Club
I like the pace vs. playoffs and last season chart quite a bit. Thank you for that. (I used to keep this chart on Excel at home for several years until the team crushed my spirit where I no longer bothered) -
Loretta Lynn passed away at age 90. Legendary... RIP.

Actually, Jordan Palmer has gotten quite a bit of attention for helping Allen with his throwing mechanics and the mental part of being a QB. The thing about Allen is his athleticism. Not necessarily in the sense of speed/strength/size (although, he clearly has those) but rather his phenomenal body control. I think Allen is a guy who can be shown a tweak on his mechanics, practice it a few times, and it's burned into the circuitry to reproduce it that way going forward. Whereas normal athletes struggle to reproduce that form under game pressure and revert to bad mechanics and the subsequent issues those cause. I am convinced if he had gotten top notch coaching from HS through college, he wouldn't have dropped to 7th overall pick or been a polarizing prospect, he'd have been a dominant college QB and consensus #1 overall pick. Lucky for us that improvement in throwing the ball accurately did not happen until he became a Bill.

Come on man, Anderson was only 40 last year. He's 41 this year. Completely different. (I kid ,I kid...)

This week it's Elton John in Syracuse with my super fan 23-year-old kid. Bought tickets more than a year ago, moved since then, so now I have to fly back to go to the show. He is actually wearing an Elton John inspired outfit that he made, so it should be fun to see people's reactions.

Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #41 Craig Anderson
TheAud replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Injuries. Several of them. When healthy, he'll be a replacement level goaltender or slightly better. -
Just saw them at Red Rocks this past Thursday. Very enjoyable show. Some dancing but more of a musical adventure than pop concert. They did a version of When the Levee Breaks that I can only describe as prog rock bluegrass style.

Already had that guy on ignore but noticed it in your quote. Totally agree with your sentiment. If I say any more mods will remove my comment like they did last time I addressed this guy.

Bandits: Head Coach John Tavares signs 3 year extension

He's also the all-time leading scorer of the league. -
Did something tonight I had been hoping to pull off. Waited until Mavis Staples, the opening act, took the stage and tickets on the secondary market dropped like a rock. Picked up row 34 center stage (face value over $100) for $40 each and then the Mrs. and I boogied over to Red Rocks and parked in the distant paw paw patch. Caught a taxi up the hill ($10) and made it to our seats to catch Mavis end her set with "I'll Take You There". Then we watched Bonnie Raitt, who is an American Treasure, and her band put on an excellent show. We headed out before the encore and hoofed it downhill about 15 minutes walking and beat the traffic that was just emerging. Time to walk the dog and get into bed for work tomorrow. Getting the hang of this living in Colorado business...

Best of luck with her. If you happen to be able to post a full body picture I'd love to see her. I'm a 'big dog' person and am fascinated with a Poodle-Newfie mix. (I have a Saint Bernard but she's a very petite girl at 110 lbs).

He was at camp going all out when he was hurt. He's under contract for the season. Understand your concern but perhaps he's earned the benefit of the doubt.

What I like about this topic is that in looking at the list of 14 players, aside from perhaps Tuch because he is a more established veteran, the other 13 would appear to be more likely than not to either establish themselves as contributing NHL players for the first time(JJP, Quinn Power), or have improved performance this season as compared with last year, or even their best demonstrated performance in their career. It's a lot of upside. Granted, it won't all come to fruition but it's very possible 3/4's of these guys move ahead in their career progression and this team makes a larger leap in the standings than the pundits expect. I'm excited to see how it plays out.

Tig Notaro. But this discussion is about Kale Clague. Tig is more of a checking forward.

Sabres Sign Vinnie Hinostroza to 1 year 1.7 Million Dollar Extension
TheAud replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Not bringing back Eakin is worth a few points of improvement in the standings. -
I did not...what am I am I missing? I think it will be a sh*t show, and I love it.

I think it's going to work out OK. I just read this on TSN: But given the salary commitment of close to US$4.69 million over the next two seasons — Ottawa is picking up 25 per cent of his $6.25-million cap hit through 2023-24 — it's safe to assume Murray will be the starter. "I'm extremely motivated," he said Tuesday. "I've got lots to prove." He's extremely motivated! Lol...

Agree, but do you think there's a chance he's exaggerating in the retelling of the story? My impression from the brief parts posted are that it's one of those directionally correct autobiographies rife with inaccurate details, exaggerations, and outright whoppers. I bet it was less than 5 minutes but felt like 45 for the people sweating out it out in front of a pissed off boss. It's funny though my first reaction was not that Golisano was a psycho (although in retrospect if it really was 45 minutes, he was a psycho) it was that here was another example of Regier being spineless. If the other facts of the story are true, he obviously screwed up. Just admit it, take your lumps and move on for crying out loud. Or, if you think otherwise, tell the boss he's wrong and why. But being the GM and just sitting there in silence is weak.

Just to provide an alternate view: Paychex provides back-office operations for companies that are too small to justify creating their own AP, AR, etc. functions themselves when it's more cost efficient to outsource them. Buying a bankrupt asset and selling it when fortunes have turned is often called savvy business acumen. I know the guy is a bit of a pompous a-hole but I also see his name on various Children's hospitals in Upstate NY, so there is that.
