  1. The problem with number 2 is we get back too many umlauts.
  2. Until there is more data, I think it's a somewhat random result on the home vs. road splits. My expectation is regression to the mean over time. The bigger question is 'where is the mean' for this team?
  3. Agree. But he might also just be dumb. There's evidence for both. This sucks. Now you won't see a single royalty check from that post.
  4. Was she one of them? 😉
  5. Two wives. https://hollywoodlife.com/feature/jeff-beck-wife-5004498/
  6. Lol. Sorry, I reverted back to my grad school Operations Research experience. I had a professor for two classes that was working with another guy to get the bid to do Major League's Baseball schedule using these sorts of tools. Shortly after I graduated, they actually got the business. He frequently used sports scheduling in his class discussion and homework. Ok this made me google it...these guys: http://www.sports-scheduling.com/
  7. I should have been more expansive in my response. It's possible to play 3 in a row on the road or home. The last time it happened to the Bills was 2019. That said, I am sure the NFL's scheduling process, which certainly involves a Linear Program optimizer and/or Heuristic solver, tries to avoid this situation where possible. However, it will fall below 'hard' constraints such as the stadium is not available on a given weekend (like for a Phish concert) and would have to be prioritized vs. things like Network requests for certain games. But you're right, it can happen.
  8. Yeah, one truck stays at Liquid State, the other hits the festivals and so forth and is in Ovid every Wed (I think). I like where this thread has gone on the Ithaca side of things. I was born there!
  9. If you haven't had it yet, when they are back in town in the Spring I highly recommend having some Silo Fried Chicken at the Liquid State Brewing Company location. Best food truck I've ever experienced and run by great people.
  10. It's literally a formula. There is no schedule-maker per se for who plays who and where. The human element comes in on the sequencing but even there it's limited by rules like no more than 2 home or road games in a row, avoiding known stadium conflicts, LA and NY teams need to not be playing at home on the same day, etc.
  11. Not sure about punching him in the face, but you are not wrong about the situation. Same thing with Hendrickson obviously intentionally rolling into Josh Allen's leg.
  12. I always appreciate your deep knowledge of prospects. For me, I was wondering if Spacek is related to former Sabre Jaro Spacek so I used the Google machine and it turns out it's his son! Therefore I support bringing him to Buffalo. Likewise, I like Jack Peart's name and when he scores a goal his song can be a Neil Peart drum solo.
  13. How about send Mitts home to Minnesota for Marcus Foligno and a D prospect. I read Minnesota has a deep prospect pool at D, but I don't know enough to propose which one. Sabres could really use a guy like Foligno in my opinion. And, strangely enough, I heard from a good source he would be happy to come home. So he'd meet the "wants to be here" requirement.
  14. My observation is that he prevents goals from being scored vs. the Sabres...the very thing they are weakest at.
  15. And 2.6% chance to win the Cup! (yeah, right) 🙂
  16. Yeah Casey! Trade him after the game…sell high.
  17. The line that should have Asplund on it?
  18. Agree, especially being a RHD. At least with Borgen, the Sabres were going to lose someone and it ended up being him, whereas they just about gave away McNabb for no readily explainable reason.
