Seems likely that Ottawa screwing up the Dadonov trade to Vegas and having it subsequently costing them a first round pick was a straw-that-broke-the camel's-back moment for the new Ottawa ownership relative to Dorion, or simply a good catalyst to replace him as they may have wanted to do anyway. Something like that. No way these two events being announced on the same day are a coincidence.

Back in the day, watching a basketball game in the Gallagher Center at NU was an excellent experience. I haven't been there in decades.
