The more and more I talk to people in my group, the more they want pain and suffering to continue to this team. They have turned against Pegula hoping he feels the pain eventually. Nobody even cares if they win anymore, it's really an all-time low and that is pretty hard to believe after so many years of awfulness.

THis is my issue, everyone thinks coaching will turn this team around and I think they have the wrong type of players. Someone like Toccett might make things look different but they will regress back to the norm shortly after. They are who they are...

Only 9 points from 8th and picking 6th in the draft. Hoping Ottawa and Columbus can get a win streak going soon. Maybe we can draft someone like Power again 😐

There don't seem to be any answers on how to fix this team because I really believe they are pretty awful from top to bottom. Obviously it will be impossible to trade people like Cousins, Mule, Skinner, Power and Thompson but what about the rest? Bring in a new GM who has no bias towards any of these players and trade as many players as possible. Target teams with needs and bring back players who are older and can compliment existing talent that is here. Would anyone really care if anyone on this team was traded? Dahlin is on a straight line to exit like Eichel, book it. Nobody on this team should be safe and they can bring in that new GM and coach to reset the whole organization. Wait until some good, veteran coaches are fired and let everyone know that absolutely nobody is safe. I have fellow season ticket holders who also have not watched a game in weeks and can't even stomach watching them any longer. This idea of blowing it all up would be the only thing that could bring a sense of fandom back back to me in October since this will be the last year I will be a season ticket holder. I did not watch again last night but the end has to be near for Granato, I mean, it just has to be.

Daggommit, I really want to like this team again. After the Bills loss, I think I actually hate the Sabres even more. Realizing that wins don't even matter anymore and it's still just January is the most painful part.

I was thinking the same thing. My answer is definitely no since we already know that this team has ZERO chance at making the playoffs. Trade deadline will come up and players will be sold for meaningless draft picks that will be rushed into a failing system. There is absolutely no end in sight to this mess.

And the Buffalo sports season officially and unceremoniously ends on January 21

I lost power from Tuesday through yesterday morning in EA. Lost it again (along with 1,500 others) for 5 more hours last night. Getting pretty sick of winter already...

The bolded part is exactly how I feel. The Sabres just put me in a bad mood and now I am choosing to avoid that feeling by not tuning in unless they are closer to 8th. When they lose now, and I don't watch, it's like....ehh. Since playoffs are not even in the picture this year, my season is over with this crew.

Regular season, this applies. When the playoffs start though, I love the sport again. The Sabres are the ones that have ruined the regular season for me for years.

I can't remember ever losing interest in the Bills, even during the 17 year drought. I don't even remember losing interest in the Sabres during the tank years because I always knew something really great was right around the corner. Coming into this year, i thought that the waiting was over and this was going to be step 1 to plenty of years of consistent playoffs. Here we are, halfway through the season, and I got nothin, I mean...nothin. Even if this team went on to win its last 10 games of the season, being a STH after all these years is beyond dead. I have obviously been extremely down on this team over the years, but the last few weeks are different. I will never watch the beginning of the game, and unless Buffalo is up by 2 goals, the tv does not go on at all. How does one go from being one of the biggest fans that I know...to really just writing off the sport all-together? Maybe I haven't, but right now, this is new territory. I have 6 center ice tickets for the game on Friday and none of my kids even want to go. The last 3 games we have attended have not only been losses, but games where the team has been booed off the ice. I fear that coaching is not the only issue with this group. What if all this talent that we thought was on the verge of being stars are just decent hockey players and are way further away than we think. That is a scary thought to me and if it truly is the case, it may be years until I am back. I love this city more than anything and the only two teams I have ever cared about in my life are the Bills and Sabres. I really hope that I am wrong, but something just isn't right with this group and I don't think coaching will solve all the issues. A coach should not be responsible for getting these guys heads right every other night. If that drive is not instilled in you as a player already, you will never get it to surface. Add more players around you will similar drive, this is what you get. This group has sucked all the fun out of watching for me and I never thought I would see the day where it just makes sense to shut them out. It's the only way I know I will not get frustrated, and I don't need that emotion if I can simply choose to shut it down. Hell, I am the person that made Lincoln Station in Chicago a Buffalo bar. If this team can do that to me, what damage has it done to the casual fan.... Go Bills, Go Sabes

Yup, that’s where I am. I don’t think I have watched a game in 2 weeks and I have no idea which teams are even doing well anymore. I know that we are so far out of the playoff race that there is no bringing me back in this year…ugh

Honest question, does anyone honestly care what the line combos are? Call me when there are new players…
