Oh the hair, hey if that's what it takes to get a ring, then I'm cool it haha. It's true, I have worked very hard for things now, though I still see desolation everywhere and I always question myself if I'm doing enough for those less fortunate, maybe I need to be less selfish, but it is just a tough thing to think about at times. Actually, it was freaking awesome with no people there, there were slopes open though, skiers, just not in hoards, made zermatt look awesome with minimal people, I was able to take multiple cables up to the top and experience it, besides I don't know how to ski hahaha. Wind was at 75 km/hr up top, freaking insane. I'm def coming back to Switzerland, though it's expensive as ***** here

It's not a buffalo attitude, it's an attitude of being a realistic fan. You don't go from worst to first (maybe once in a blue moon) but it's just not expected, if we win the cup, then F yeah, and I would love the team to be in win now mode, Every. Single. Day. They. Exist, so for the purpose of the team, and the fans, yes its win now..... But for the purpose of real life, trading away what could be significant depth for a piece that may or may not help this team, in a year where they aren't expecting to win the cup, would be silly. Let's say we surprise everyone and win a round this year, awesome, we still have the AHL guys, a re-signed Skinner (hopefully) more mature Jack, Dahlin etc, and now we have all the picks to make moves in the off-season for more established talent or to restock for the guys coming up from the A. And next year, we have a better shot and more realistic shot of gunning for the cup.... And keeping a sustained level of high play. This is literally the first time in my Buffalo fan hood life, that I am comfortable with saying that 1 year is OK to wait, just 1 season, because the payoff in my honest opinion will be better and more sustained.

I don't believe the trade for Skinner was for a rental, I have to assume that Jbot foresaw that Skinner would work with Jack, give him some time and let him flourish and then resign him, that's where I stand, I think Skinner will be here long term. It's been years since we've had depth, and as much as winning now would be awesome, it's not the plan, if we win now, it also raises the prices of now "cup winning" players, and that can mess with our cap and player retention. If we're legitimately a contender in solid place at the deadline, I'd be OK with moving some lesser pieces to get deeper, but we're not there yet. We beat some good teams, but I'm confident that an elite team would crush us in a playoff series, we may squeak out a series, but that's not good enough, take the year, build on what we have and then dominate the league for a while.

We're not in win now mode, we haven't been all off season, and I'm not sure, if the management expected where we are now. I think we will play with house money now and see how far we go, keep the picks so we keep our cupboards stocked so we aren't lightning in a bottle. We will have some aging peeps on D and pommers leaving and will need replacements as well as clear upgrades to the "middle six" I think selling the farm to win now is a mistake.

That was absurd, I have it streaming on my phone and it's 1am, and I couldn't bring myself to sleep, I literally jumped outta my bed, probably woke everyone in the hostel up, freaking incredible!!
