I have a great deal of respect for how McCormick played, but nearly every team had a Cody McCormick. He was a commodity. Like pork bellies. Definition of JAG.

I don't buy that this is Bylsma hangover. Those guys have all played in 1-2-2 systems in their past. Every team uses it to at least some extent. Hell, local beer league teams use it. This was guys not fully checked in. Those are mental errors, not physical ones.

Refresh my memory here.

Sure we did. It started the season before that. It's why we got rid of Gio. Not gonna lie. I am concerned about this team turning the reigns over to the kids that basically snubbed their noses at every successful vet that was brought in. I hope it's the right play. I agree with this 100%. And I think it is why Risto will be the next big name moved.

Even Stanley cup teams have whipping boys. Every team has a low or under performer. I think this roster has reached a point where Wilson will be noticed in less than positive ways now. And he'll get criticized for it. And he's not a shiny new toy anymore as well.

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't. And I could def see Wilson being the new whipping boy.

It is odd. But I suspect high end professional athletes are an odd sort in general. so, no alarm bells here.

I couldn't disagree more regarding the bolded. Housley complained frequently throughout the first 2/3 of the season that the team was not playing as coached. Like Bylsma, he needed the team to play as he wanted them to so he could effectively evaluate things, and for most of the season he struggled to get them to play the way he wanted. It will be refreshing indeed if the team comes out of the gate playing the game they are being coached to play. Then maybe we can evaluate what Housley is trying to do.

No. I expect they will be reliable players. Our roster on wing no longer looks like an AHL roster.
