I don't agree with that. Getting to the net with traffic is key to consistent scoring in all cases, not just for bombing away from the points.

They don't get paid enough to make it a career. They have second jobs. Not unlike professional indoor lacrosse (or at least the way it used to be).

I think they are pretty comparable at similar points in their careers. Pierre was putting up points, but it was a different league then. I think the concerns re: leadership and saviorship at that point are pretty comparable though.

There have been warning signs of this for 3 years. I think there is reason for concern here. Instead of being up there with Gil, he may be somewhere between Gil and Pierre. Hopefully, much closer to Gil, but the jury is still out.

I don't think it is fear. I do think it is his personality though. He's not the raw leader and super competitor we made him out to be leading up to the draft. Truthiness.

I think this team needs a seasoned second line center that can put up 50-60 points, take the hard minutes against the other teams top line to free up Jacks line, and dominate face offs in key situations. I wonder if we could trade Berglund, Sobotka, and Thompson for one. Nah. Thats foolish thinking.

IMO powerplay is where we miss ROR the most. He was an excellent distributor and was puck hawk in the O zone on the powerplay. Huge loss there.

Chain store selection sucks for the most part. Go find a good shoe retailer. Charlotte is a pretty big city. They should have at least one. There are plenty of brands between Clark's and Allen Edmonds that offer something that will fit you. Get professionally sized. You might have to order something in, but a good retailer will order proper fitting shoes for you. I've become a fan of Johnston and Murphy. IMO they are a step up from Clark's, but much closer in pricing to Clark's than AE.

The fishing thing was so stupid. Noone has ever criticized his fitness level. He is one of those players that is injury prone. Like Pat Kaleta. Or Tim Connolly. Fitness has nothing to do with it. Maybe the workout routine does, but it's rather silly to assume he's doing something counter to what the team wants him to do when there is no evidence, no smoke, no innuendo in team comments to suggest that is the case. Quite to the contrary, Phil and JBott seem to really be fond of him. I doubt they'd be so positive in their commentary if he wasn't doing what was asked of him.

I feel the same way. And I’m rooting for him to be able to flip that middle finger.

Due to location she won't represent me, but I care anyway. She is running for a legislative position. I expect two primary things from the people in a legislative body. Intelligence and respect for the importance of what they are attempting to do. In 2009 she was on a political trajectory. She was making a name for a run at state office. Making fun of appearances for political gain is a sure sign to me that respect for what she is attempting to do has been trumped (hey, that pun works) by a pettiness that inherently cannot lead to good governance. And using the particular turn of phrase that she did indicates to me either a lack of situational intelligence if unintended, or an extreme degree of pettiness that borders on sociopathic if intended. I'm way past Republican vs. Democrat or conservative vs. liberal. I only care about good governance. This sort of behavior is anti good governance.

Team looks pretty good so far tonight. Linus doing what he needs to do. The 4th line looks populated with actual NHL forwards. And the powerplay looks like a real powerplay.
