I don’t think he hits any of our needs. He’s not really any improvement over any of our middle 6. He doesn’t fit the veteran leader mold, he doesn’t add any skillset that is missing from the lineup already, he’s not going to make the team tougher to play against compared to what we already have. Seems like he would be the definition of shuffling deck chairs.

If this were any other franchise I would be all in on that being a showcase move.

None of them started as delicate little waifs. Remember when we all thought Dylan Cozens was going to be special because of his determination? This is what being unsupported looks like, and if they don’t get the support they need Benson is going to look shell shocked after games too.

We need a new deck of cards, not shuffling the deck we have now.
