That. Is. Awesome.

You had me until your last sentence.

I posted about this in the NFL thread. I'm hoping the NFL and the NFLPA works out an agreement that keeps it viable. I've got a rooting interest in Atlanta.

Is it bad that I’ve never seen Napoleon Dynamite?

Oh, come on. Give me credit for invoking Hamlet, at least.

Futility, thy name is Liger.

Noone has given good evidence that the team failing is the result of Eichel not being good enough because noone you are debating with is making that claim. PA was right,. You don't want to have the conversation. You want people to change their minds to your perspective.

AAF suspending operations 7 games into a 10 game season. Looks like my Godson is going to be looking for work.

I think it will now take more to sign him here. We're going to have to do some convincing.
-
Valid. But the point of view you are arguing with isn't counter to your second sentence. I don't think anyone criticizing Jack is giving JBott, PH, Sobotka, the towel boy a free pass. There is plenty of complicity to go around.

He's the engine or the hull, take your pick. he's not a lifeboat. Either way, they both need to be fully functioning or the ship doesn't get out of its own way.

By my eye, Eichel’s intensity has dropped way off. He’s spending too much time floating instead of engaging when he doesn’t have the puck. I don’t need to compare him to other players on the team in that regard, not when I am addressing him specifically anyway. Its something he’s done in the past when the season hasn’t gone his way. In my view, it’s a pattern now. None of that means he’s the reason for the teams’ turn of direction. Frankly, the team was well down this path before he gave up, so it’s not his fault IMO. But as the captain, the defacto face of the team, and a now veteran who is expected to show the path, criticism for it is warranted. No, he doesn’t need to be moved either. Its a valid criticism of his play. He’s earned it.

Who does that sound like? Is that a Pominville quote? I could see all time nice guy Pominville being the one guy in any room to like the guy everyone else hates.
-
Its too bad we paid him like we expect him to do everything. I don’t expect him to do everything. I do expect him to NOT give up on seasons and lead by example. We expected it of Ryan OReilly. I don’t understand why Jack is above that expectation.

If you look in a mirror and say “Gerbe is a center” theee times does a bloody Shrader appear behind you?

No kidding. When does the fanbase get tired of hoping to lose?

Should the next head coach of the Sabres be Mike Velucci?

No more rookies please, and thank you. -
My son asked me if I want to go to the game. $6 tix on the secondary market. I told him no. $6 plus gas, parking, food and beers. They just don't entertain. I feel guilty telling him no, but I am not interested in wasting my money with that team.

And how long are we going to stomach him as well? He hasn't lived up to the hype. That is a killer in this town.

I read it on the internet so it must be true.

Not directly (or even indirectly) related to Boucher, but I think we need to be less concerned with style and more concerned with results. Style can adapt and change once we get the room back to focused on the end result. Winning is entertaining.

The questions will (or at least should) start if Jack's second coach is fired. We shrugged of DDB's firing because most of us didn't like his gameplan. But it appeared that Jack was instrumental in getting DDB's bags packed. We should have questioned it more then. We should definitely question it if it happens again. It's the start of a pattern. Like quitting on a season is a pattern now.
