Sabres Trade Alex Nylander to Chicago for D Man Henri Jokiharju
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Yeah, I've seen the updates. What can I say? No idea who he was before this, and shocked to here Nylander got swapped straightu p for a promising player. Nothing would shock me at this point. -

Agreed. That's his personality. Darcy Regier once said in an interview that he expects to turn over a roster every 3 seasons. Not literally every player, but about 30 players in and 30 players out over 3 seasons. That matches JBott's activity level so far. -
I'm going left field. NYI. No reason.

Preach it. But I like the offseason so far. -
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. He's from Milwaukee.

Thanks, but which part was I correct about? NM- saw upthread. To be fair, most of it was based on other peoples observations. It's not like we saw alot of him. -

Safe to assume an exchange of disappointing 1rd picks? -
74 Chevy Camaro. Canary yellow. Black interior. 5 spoke factory mag wheels and Dunlop raised white letter 60 series tires. I beat the hell out of that poor car. Paid $1000 for it. After driving it hard for 2.5yrs it was rear ended while I was sitting at a red light. Busted the frame on both sides. Long story but the guy that hit me wouldn’t fill out an accident report and I had to file a complaint with NY DMV. While the wheels of justice slowly turned I parted the car out and scrapped what was left. Got about my $1000 back. 6 months later I finally got an $800 insurance check from the guy who hit me.

Given our remaining cap space, RFAs to be signed, and the need for a cushion during the season, there HAS to be another move. A move of a body or bodies out. Unfortunately, it’s not likely to be someone we want moved (they likely have no market value), so it’ll be someone that we’d rather have on the roster. And given our cap situation, it won’t be a hockey trade. Who are candidates to move that have value and can make cap room? Sheary, Erod, Wilson, McCabe, Scandella. Does that sound about right? I think best case is Sheary and Scandella are moved for picks.

A "smaller space" for RaKru with Sabres, but for how long?
Weave replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
Lol If this guy is the one that gives the owners the confidence to go hands off, I think PA might dance a jig. And his excitement may be warranted. -

PA, this guy may turn out to be exactly what you were hoping for. -
That isn’t collusion either. It’s an agreement to not screw each other.

I don't know. And wouldn't throw out a suggestion of an illegal actviity to explain something that I have no background information to support.
-
This right here is why you are way out of line. Step up to his level of action and then make the case.
-
So, you're suggesting the GM's are engaging in collusion? That's a pretty serious accusation.

Imagine calling a guy racist who has done so much more for people in impoverished countries with multitudes of ethinicities than you'll ever hope to be able to do. Wyld is certainly guilty of poor judgement at an attempt at humor. Given what you've thrown out there, you're guilty of much worse here.

It's not uncommon for wings to take the majority of faceoffs on a given line. I wouldn't expect to see that out of my top center, but for example, Giroux plays primarily on the wing but was in the top 20 in league faceoff attempts. I think it is more common on lines 2 and 3 players though. It's not ideal, but Johansson's faceoff attempts may only mean that he's not particulaly good on the dot.

Get in line. ?

If he presented it on the ice sure. Presenting it to the leadership in the locker room was more than sub optimal. That was my complaint. Oh, and ixnay on the Olltray, bra. edit- ?

I'm not speaking to Zadorov's overall game, just the attitude. We could use some arrogance.
-
No ill will here. I wish we had players with that kind of attitude. I guess Montour takes a little of the sting out of the end result of the trade that sent Zadorov and Compher to COL.

Favorite movie vehicles? The unicorn Mustang from Gone in 60 Seconds, and all of the amazing monstrosities in The Road Warrior

Spent years doing it out of financial necessity. Everything from oil changes to re-painted a faded Dodge Dakota. I don't do my own auto work anymore. I'm willing to pay someone to do it in 1/3 of the time and not have to make multiple auto parts store runs. And my weekends are me time.

I've been all over the map with the vehicles I've owned. First car was a '74 Camaro. I've owned trucks, sedans, econoboxes, smaller SUVs. All purchased used. I've never owned a new vehicle and don't see that changing. There is alot of value, and alot of choices shopping for 2-3 yr old lease returns. Currently driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'm enjoying driving this vehicle more than any other that I've owned. Unless things go badly the rest of the way out, I'm likely to buy another.
