  1. I suspect that these two are close enough that we might be having this conversation every season. And who's better might go back and forth each season.
  2. I keep reading the thread title as, Hail, Arizona!
  3. Cheez, Swamp. It's getting dusty in here.
  4. NO! YOUR WRONG!
  5. Yotes win this one big. They get the best player in the deal AND they get the #1 overall in the draft.
  6. This was, of course, the real motivation for the deal.
  7. He's classic AAAA. Now that we have some more depth at forward he's being used like he should be, and his numbers reflect that. Not unlike Girgensons having promising numbers when he got 1C minutes and situations and then coming down to earth when he got the ice time and situations he should have been getting.
  8. I can relate here.
  9. Way too young...... And you know you’re getting old when the guys you cheered on start passing.
  10. Jack qualifies....
  11. Ugh. The pain of truthiness.
  12. Hopefully he finds his way is exactly right. He's trending bust otherwise. Will be interesting to see if he lights up the A the way Thompson did. He should do well at the AHL pace of play.
  13. I don’t see this as sustainable. Secondary scoring is almost nonexistent outside of Larsson’s recent burst. I haven’t look closely but it sure seems Jack is in on nearly every goal we are scoring. Good for Jack. Bad for sustainability.
  14. And his skill set may not fit their game plan.
  15. Players and people get bad advice from agents and attorneys all the time.
  16. And yet players that forced their way out in a way that actually harmed the team are revered. #StillbitteraboutHasek
  17. Has there ever been a player that asked to leave that wasn't vilified? I mean, it's the same fanbase that booed Brian Campbell after he left.
  18. It might just be "puck luck". But why would we care? I suspect puck luck is the same thing we used to call being in the zone 20 year ago. Except they use the description as a negative now. An outlier. Being in the zone was an outlier too, but noone used it as criticism, or a suggestion of unrepeatable performance. I feel like advanced stats have ruined fandom. We overanalyze everything instead of just enjoying what we watch. Was 06-07 Danny Breire puck luck? How about 92-93 LaFontaine? Or 76 goal Mogilny? 79-80 Danny Gare? Those were all performance outliers. Why would we care? *old man yells at sky*
  19. This makes sense to me. That line would have to be incredibly sheltered though. That's a tank year level line.
  20. Just goes to show how little we all know about what goes on in that locker room.
  21. Congrats. You’re on even footing now.
  22. Seems everyone wants to have a gotcha moment over this. It’s pretty ***** to want to dredge up old animosity tfor the self indulgence.
  23. We could just talk about Jack instead of the ***** we pulled to get him. Some people just want to watch the world burn I guess.
  24. Nope. And thanks for dragging old arguments into this.
