  1. I know you are in the medical field. As an engineer I am ill equipped to debate you on a medical subject. Maybe this is a counterpoint of word choice and semantics, but published death rates and infection rates are higher than influenza, and the major world medical science organizations are treating this much more cautiously than influenza. This all points to current data suggesting a more dangerous situation than influenza. Are we reading that wrongly?
  2. I’m amazed that a man who has made as much money as Ovie has a driveway that needs to be re-done. That could easily be my driveway.
  3. I reiterate, America’s greatest fault is it’s people have stopped trusting science. Every worldwide scientific, medical organization is telling you this is significantly worse than the flu and you still doubt. #facepalm
  4. Well, things are getting interesting now.... This take sure didn’t age well.
  5. This site and it's contents are a prime example of every day people with only casual knowledge convinced that they know more than career experts. I'm guilty of it at times.
  6. This is really uncalled for. The people of China aren't the reason a virus mutated. And if the government wasn't forthcoming with the truth.... again, it's not on the people. The first recorded case of the 1918 flu that killed 50 million people was in Kansas military barracks. They sent those soldiers to Europe even as the death rates for the soldiers due to illness skyrocketed. fckn idiots?
  7. This is as farcical as any Pacific Rim movie.
  8. I don't see any difference in washing hands to avoid illness and choosing to stay home to be entertained to avoid illness. They both should be self evident.
  9. I don't think we need to look any further than a mirror for blame.
  10. Hopefully Disney is more serious about this than you are. I;ve got tickets, a flight, hotel, and a rental car booked for my son and I to go to a bucket list concert this Summer. We've got tix up front on the floor. If this thing doesn't subside when the warm weather hits we're likely to eat it. I hate it. it'll be expensive, and a missed opportunity that I likely won't get back. But sometimes you have to be responsible for more than yourself.
  11. My primary response is, health is hella more important than any economic impact. We can recover from an economic impact. If you die or deal with a permanent aftermath of the disease you aren't getting that back. And equally important, just like childhood vaccinations, the ones that ignore the medical and scientific advise put alot more than just themselves at risk. You are putting the entire community you interact with at risk. Don't be so ***** selfish, I guess.
  12. People value inconveniences more than they value risk. We are a stupidly optimistic people that equates bad things to other people's personal choices. And as a result more people are put at risk.
  13. Read this. Written by an Italian doctor. https://www.newsweek.com/young-unafraid-coronavirus-pandemic-good-you-now-stop-killing-people-opinion-1491797 The biggest problem I see with America today is that we stopped trusting our scientific community and decided that we know better.
  14. If it is hyperbole, it is coming from medical scientists, not the media. The media is quoting what the medical scientific community is telling them.
  15. If he ends up with Hecht's offensive upside, we'll all be very happy. I think Hecht might be a bit underrated here.
  16. I've gone low key prepper for the first time in my life. In case we end up quarantened, or worse sick, and we can't get to a store for a few weeks we bought 4 weeks worth of dry goods. There is a Newsweek article today written by an doctor in Italy, coroborating what was mentioned in that video. Overloaded hospitals. 6% fatality rate. Wow. Survivors dealing with significantly reduced lung capacity and recover time measuring months. One of the major risk factors being talked about is hypertension. That is a problem for me. I'm getting concerned.
  17. Can’t wait for fan lotteries for the “total game experience” including a game as EBUG.
  18. My impression is that he is already at Marty Biron level. The question is, can he improve on that? And did anyone else think that was a picture of Jonas Enroth at the top of the thread? Or was it just my initial thought?
  19. Been critical of, yes. Soured on, no. Never was a concern that either of them would be good. Mitts? I’m concerned enough that I would move him for the right player.
  20. I'm aware. Doesn't change my thoughts.
  21. Nah. Gotta maintain a flaw for humility's sake.
  22. I don't know what proper market value for Adam Henrique might look like, but I'm 100% for moving Mitts to get a 2C, or a scoring RW. I've soured on him.
  23. Jack's talent Risto's size Simmonds growl Okposo's drive and professionalism
  24. This forum is social media, so you do use social media.
  25. I’m not sure we can ask for better line combos than that.
