Exactly. You cannot rationalize a thorough tanking and not rapidly replenish the veterans you jettisoned. At the end of the day we are where we are because we compounded a couple of big mistakes with annual smaller mistakes when the room for error was negligible.

Not gonna lie, given this team’s current reputation I’m a bit leery of drafting a player that has the option to simple stay in school a little longer and leave a free agent. Hearing Power say he’d be honored to be drafted by the Sabres is a bit of a relief for me.

Yeah, i think he’s the type of vet that really gets the attention of the kids. I know most want him gone but IMO he’s a valuable presence.

I could see Okposo being a very valuable locker room addition. He might not need much of a sweeter to move depending on how Seattle wants to build there team.
