Yup. For all his faults, Lindy always appeared to me to be a good judge of players to trust on his team. This guy may be the right talent, but if he's the wrong person I don't want him near Tank gen2 kids.

Saw Ruff’s response to the waiver. Seems to me there are red flags waving in the wind re: Gusev. I don’t know what the deal is, but Lindy sure doesn’t seem to care if he isn’t around. That’s enough for me to lose interest.

More or less, agreed. Im fairly bullish on Cozens. Gimme a blockbuster and Im moving any or all of Jack, Sam, and Rasmus the Younger. A middle of the road veteran 1C with playoff chops, a teams #1 prospect (preferably also a C), a #2 RW with playoff chops, and the rest are minor details in a Jack trade I’m not turning down without serious thought. ETA - you aren’t winning a trade where you are trading Jack. But the goal isn’t to win the trade, it is to bring in the kind of competitive support that we should have brought in 6 years ago. The kind of players that will ensure our kids don’t play until they are ready, yet still win an acceptable number of games and compete for a playoff spot.

It was more the draft expectation that we had our Cam Neely/Milan Lucic/Rick Tocchet, that elusive mix of nasty and skill.

They are surprisingly meaty. I asked a vegetarian co-worker if he liked them and b=he complained dat they were too meaty in taste and texture. I figure dat is a good endorsement. I'm not sure they are actually healthier though.

Your credibility is taking a serious hit here. Go back and look at the season leading to Crosby’s draft. They didn’t tank, they won a lottery. It was a post lockout draft with a modified lottery. Buffalo actually had better odds of getting first that year under the modified rules.
