I don’t think the 1C to start the season is on the roster yet. Hey-sus, is that actually you? Oy that’s a rough hair day.

My theory is the guys who hang onto the pro game the longest are the best skaters. Roy was a phenomenal skater. Heck of a career, really.

Two different sides of the same family. The location in Batavia went down hill in quality a few years before family legal squabbles shut it down (if I am remembering correctly).

The pizza I get in town is basically Rochester pizza. It’s definitely different and we miss going anywhere close for pizza and getting Buffalo pizza.

No need to over think this. Ducky got it right. The only answer for a once in a blue moon cheat is pizza and beer.

I need to find the youtube video I watched about what makes Buffalo pizza unique. If memory serves they said the sauce is tomato paste based instead of tomato sauce based. Basically, tomato paste carmelized, thinned, and sweetened. The crust we all know is neither thin nor thick. It’s the perfect mashup of chewy with a bit of air to it. We use Darryl’s pizzeria in Perry as an excuse to hit the Silver Lake Brewing Co. A couple of good beers and a couple of slices of the closest pizza I have found to Buffalo pizza outside of the Buffalo metro area.

I think Buffalo just caught up with everyone. Pizza used to be way cheaper here than anywhere else.

Curious if there is an average age correlation. Alot of the zipcodes in the far right column are older neighborhoods.

Not the exact article I read but the same stats were presented bu the same source (Cleveland Clinic).

Thinking about it a bit (and not doing any research, it is a work day and all), we might have as much prospect depth right now as we have had in most any other given offseason in a very, very long time? Over this team’s history, outside of the couple of years that spit out Roy, Vanek, Pommers, Campbell, Miller, etc. we’ve typically only had 3-4 prospects with real chances to make the show at any given time. I’m sure there were GA’s in every era that were convinced it was more like 7-8 prospects, but I think 3-4 had been much more realistic at most points in this team’s history.

Imagine if what they are really testing is some amazing focused mind ***** hardware.

I posted that stat. Found it in an article in my Apple news feed last week.

Decorated vets can, and have been proven to be liars and crackpots in the past, so his status as a decorated vet isn’t terribly interesting to me. I have no preconceived notions regarding what these people may have seen. I will say, if it is not from earth, the day solid proof becomes public knowledge our world will change. The social upheaval will be unprecedented.

If Vegas flames out in the playoffs I could see them making an aggressive push for a star center. Would be a more veteran haul coming back given their cap space. That would move our timeline up. Playoff tested vets vs. higher end potential. Hmmmm If Vegas goes deep again I think they pursue minor tweeks and Jack isn’t a consideration.

Garbage time, a couple of teams taking this team too lightly, you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you concentrate on either end of that mess. Reality is somewhere in the middle, which isn't playoff calibre with a goalie.

You can cherry pick any data set to get a positive or negative skew. I’ll take the larger sample size to predict next season.

We've all seen Jack have his tantrums. We're seeing similar reactions out of Dahlin too. IMO allowing Jack to have those tantrums and project to the kids that this behavior is tolerated is very bad. I do think very much that Jack is in the wrong headspace to captain another batch of kids. If they truly do want to move on with another youth movement he absolutely has to go IMO.

You responded before I could. Utter folly is an apt description. I was reading a post in another thread (Thorny, maybe) talking about how Sabres mgt appeared to be expecting best case scenario with all of their decisions, and I thought this is no different than what alot of the fanbase seems to do, expect best case scenario for the kids, the lines, the goalies, the hired guns, the draft picks. And right here in the next thread I open I read someone proclaiming this team a playoff team if only Granato had the reigns all season and we had another goalie. You gotta be kidding me. There is nfw this band of misfits goes from last overall easily to playoffs with a goalie and the coach we finished the season with. N. F. W.

The Yankees are experiencing a COVID outbreak even though the team was vaccinated. And Bill Maher has COVID. He was vaccinated too. I don’t understand the CDC statement re: masks. Masks are intended to protect others. Seems to me that until we get a critical mass vaccinated the masks are still needed.

The lake was absolutely gorgeous this morning. Beautiful sunrise. Damn near dead calm. One other boat at the launch. Solitude. The fish didn’t cooperate as much as hoped, but that is a minor detail given the experience was near perfection.

I always wonder how this info gets into reporters hands. DId the team volunteer this info? What would their motivation be? To get another candidate to make a decision? Did Gallant's camp release it? Would he be trying to get another team to get off their ass? I always assume ulterior motives with teams and agents.

We've been pre-emptively treating a huge ash tree in our front yard for Emerald Ash Borers for about 15 years to try to stave off an infestation. For those that don't know, Google it up. Invasive species that is wiping out ash trees across the US. It is assumed that no ash tree will survive ultimately. Anyway, this tree is about 4' across and 75-80' tall. It shades the entire front of our house, including our big, comfortable porch. I've been spending about $200/yr on chemicals to fight these little bastards off so we can keep our beautiful shade tree. Well, it looks like the end just might be at hand. Last year a big branch never leafed out, and we had a couple of shoots sprout from the main trunk, which is a sure sign of infestation. We gave a second treatment last Summer and I doubled the dose this Spring. But it looks like it is all for naught. Right now maybe 30% of the tree is leafed out. And it doesn't look like there is much more for leaf buds. I think we finally lost the battle. I'm gonna give it another week or two but I think I think I'm calling a tree service soon. I has a sad. It is the last ash tree that I am aware of in the neighborhood. Hell.maybe the county. We lost a ton of them 10 years ago.
