The other side of those stats are, every other AHL team was also stripped of their best players, so UPLs mediocre stats reflect play against sub AHL level talent overall. The rest of your point I fully agree with.

Of course without context, but my initial thought is, leave the drama private Jack.

The last 3 pages were almost entirely conversation about NS's reasons and debunking of the info behind those reasons. I don't know how you can separate them in this conversation. Must be a weird part of the ignore feature I never knew existed.

NHL Owners approve Ads on Jerseys Starting for the 2022-23 Season

Gambling ads. That's....... interesting. -
The entire context of the conversation was around false info that NS was using to justify his position. It's not twisting your words if you jumped in without getting the context first.

We have 4 goalies that I think potentially could win 20 games next year. Fight me.

It's not like there was anything better to do....

Noone is judging him for not getting poked, they are correcting bad information he is basing his own judgement on. It's kind of absurd that a medical doctor is cheering on someone using conspiracy theories to base their decision. And that makes much more sense than the incorrect reasons mentioned earlier.
-
That is all perfectly understandable, except everything you have conveyed here suggests that you are perfroming your risk/benefit judgement using demonstrably false information, and choosing to not recalculate when more accurate information is being provided.

My money would be on only two guys scoring 20, but I don't think VO will be one of them. Just a gut feel without Jack running the PP. I think Mitts is the most likely to put up 20. After that..... I'd say there will be another to put up 20, I just can't predict which mediocre player will do it now that they will be in a role 1 or 2 lines above where they should be.

Its not you. I eat maybe half of what I ate just 10yrs ago

I’ve also noticed that I cannot quite get restaurant wings flavor at home. I am friends with 2 restaurant owners in my town, one of whom makes outstanding wings. I asked her flat out what is she doing differently. She thinks it is her source for the wings. She’s using Franks and butter. Nothing earth shattering there. Process-wise she par cooks and then final flash fries to order. Kind of like the two step cooking process that makes great french fries. I don't know if that accounts for some of the difference in how they taste though. They are just really good wings. Her wings have that magical mix of tender meat and crispy skin. maybe it is the meat source.

Sabres Hired Tim Kennedy and Nathan Paetsch as Development Coaches
Weave replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
A not well fleshed out theory..... Players like Mair, Ellis, Kennedy, Paetch had skill sets that weren't high enough for skill to take over but their coachability made them easy targets for the coaching staff to develop. Short version, they recieved alot of attention and skills development exposure from the staff. And they were probably players that showed an ability later in their careers to pass those lessons on to the players around them. The team recognized this and developed that part of their talent further. Add in relatively low salaries so they need a continued income source and........... they show up here for us to make fun of. -

And Derek Plante did the same. That still didn’t make him a 2C on a good team. -

If all you checked was stats you only got about 30% of the story with those three. Tucker’s juniors performance was so good he played in Buffalo on an emergency basis while still in juniors. He had skill and flash but couldn’t be any more than a support level player in the NHL. Plante was a borderline 2C that was frequently forced into a featured role due to Lafontaine and Pecas frequent absences. His numbers were inflated because he got big time on the PP and with the teams best scoring wingers. And Roy, well you know Roy. He also stumbled badly when forced to be featured. Mitts will be alot like these guys, inflated stats because he will be forced to be 1 or 2 lines higher than he should be. -

Dudacek and I agree on Mitts. No more scouting reports required. -

Samuelsson seems to be Uwe Krupp 2.0 if he keeps developing. I think we'd be damned lucky to have Mitts get to Derek Roy level. I think Derek Plante with niftier hands is more likely. Ken Priestlay worst case. Cozens is projecting as Peca if Peca's game were cleaned up, so Stu Barnes? Thompson and Taylor Pyatt might be good comparables. I'm not sure this team is good enough to compare to, say 02-03 Sabres, so I don't know how you can make many comparisons to actual good players. Most of these guys are going to be afterthoughts in 10 years. Think 86-87 with Jack playing the role of the lone star Gilbert on the roster. There was a ton of youth and promise on that team, most of which never panned out. I expect the same of this current roster. -
I tend to be laser focused on the hobbies I have that don't cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, like whiskey. I can't afford to be that narrow minded on a car. I'd be fortunate to end up with a common one.

You and I seem to have similar tastes, although yours is of laser focus.

No, it's probably a reflection on me. 😀
