  1. I use Pandora very frequently. I have 7 or 8 stations that I actively manage. Everything from jazz and blues to German industrial metal.
  2. Neither do I. I don’t think its a lack of passion. It’s a lack of something else. Its an intangible for sure, and I don’t know how to adequately describe it, so I probably won’t spend much more energy trying to elaborate or defend it.
  3. Eichel and Sam came after. Debate Sam at center as you wish.
  4. Lol I sure hope rational is the basis for the move. If it is emotional, we’re *****.
  5. I don’t think it has to be that severe. Warning, not a well fleshed out theory to follow. I think it plausible (maybe even likely) that Jack loves the concept of NHL hockey alot more than he loves actual NHL hockey. He works extremely hard on his skills, game, and fitness, works plenty hard game day (aside from occasional coasting) but doesn’t embrace the deeper, darker aspects of the NHL game. Derek Roy comes to mind. Most of us remember Roy involved in a scuffle along the boards and reportedly replied with, “c’mon man, it’s just a game”. I could see Jack being a committed, world class skill version of Derek Roy. Yeah, in the context of Roys disrespect by the Sabres fanbase that is pretty heavy criticism, but it explains KAs desire to move on from him. He doesn’t have to be at a Roy level of apathy for the pro game for the team to see it as a red flag. Sure, it could be a narrative in search of a flaw. But the rational reasons for moving on from a world class talent are few.
  6. I see Jacks response to this as symptomatic (not cause of, but a symptom of ((because I know someone won’t make that distinction))) of the reasons why KA doesn’t think Jack is a guy to build around. No, Jack may not have started this, but I suspect Jacks response to this is how Jack may generally respond to negative outcomes. And viewed from that context, I can’t say I have any sympathy. Or any other emotion for that matter. Like Watkins, he just may not be what Buffalo needs to form a cornerstone. And at his salary he absolutely needs to be a cornerstone. Frankly, I trust KA a helluva lot more than I trust the opinions of the fanbase. KA sees Jack regularly, sees the interactions, knows how a locker room should be, and has experienced what a successful team requires. He'll get my benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise. All of us are outsiders with bigger opinions of our opinions than we deserve. Mine included.
  7. Been there, done that. Pretty sure we've been ranked #1 or near #1 in the recent past. Greta big yawn until we see how it really shakes out in 3 yrs or so.
  8. I tend to agree. It appears to me that KA has come to the conclusion that building around Jack isn’t the path he is most comfortable with.
  9. That wasn't blue collar. That was unqualified.
  10. I think right about the time he signed the 3 current goaltenders.
  11. Commas help tremendously here. Or is it.... Commas, help tremendously here. Or maybe..... Commas help tremendously, here.
  12. I agree. From my view the hate for Hamilton started right about the time this team began losing on purpose. The fans were bought in on the idea and Hammy saw it as the wrong strategy and was very loudly arguing against it. Add in the flaws he saw and was very vocal about in regards to the TankFruit and the hatefest began in earnest. I just simply think Hammy was an iconoclast and took the direct hits for sticking to it.
  13. This week it has blown up here at work. One of my employees is quarantined and being tested. One of the management team went home today with symptoms. A bunch of workers quarantined and getting tested. Positive test rests in several work groups. Went from quiet for months to here we go again in the span of a week.
  14. You should write for the Miami chamber of commerce.
  15. I’m not a Kane defender but that goes both ways. Probably should get the same level of consideration both ways as well.
  16. The Lightning’s star wants to be on the Tampa roster. Jack does not want to be on the Sabres roster. A year on LTIR is unlikely to change that.
  17. There is a man trying to do what he can to make sure he stays on the team.
  18. I suspect it was his agent’s ploy, not his. Glad we’re all acknowledging that Hasek was a prick for what he did. #wontgetoverit
  19. https://dobberprospects.com/2020/05/16/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/ It seems that the success rates have come up a little bit. Sine 2000, 55 seems to be about the average according to Dobber.
  20. I know it is fashionable to complain about lazy people not wanting to go back to work but I am loving this. Lazy people or not, I say hooray! We are witnessing a bit of a market correction. Those who are willing to change jobs can really take advantage of the fact that companies are having to try harder to get good people. Instead of grousing about the labor shortage, go out and take advantage of it. It won't last so get some while you can. And be happy it is to your benefit. So, yeah, I'm looking for opportunities right now. No complaints from me today.
  21. NFW This is a contentious divorce. Sometimes good sex occurs in the middle of a divorce but it rarely changes the direction of events.
