I love it. City pier grill and bait. I assume its all the same protein.

I don’t LOL

“How” they responded in game is more the issue and concern. I’m good. Mostly because this team doesn’t occupy the emotional space it used to.

Do the Sabres make the playoffs this season (second edition)

This put into words what I was thinking. No anger at losing a 2nd time. No passion over JJPs hit and injury. Just no passion. 14 seasons of this. This is what it looks like when you stop demanding a team wins. And now we see how incredibly difficult it is to get it back once it leaves. -
Zach Bogozian 2.0. He’s seen the level of bad this organization is and now he’s gonna milk IR until he’s out of his contract. Am I serious, or not?

It tells us we have the rest of the season to try and get 4 more points than the teams that started 2-0. -
Retirement. NFW he’s not retired if he doesn’t last the season as HC.

Close friends are inland, but in the bullseye currently. They were in Fort Meyers for the hurricane that went through there a few years ago. Now they have this one coming at them. No storm surge concerns but TS level winds, rain and tornadoes sure are. I can’t imagine ever deciding that Fl is a good place to buy property.

I sure as ***** am going to blame him if either of our goalies falter.

What hit? That was interference.

Do the Sabres make the playoffs this season (second edition)

It isn’t a plan. As Thorny likes to mention with some frequency, every team in the league gets 7 new opportunities to add new young talent to their team every year. When noone wants to come to your organization, there is little alternative, so you roll with those 7 league granted chances and see if snake eyes doesn’t come up this time. And you try to sell them to the fanbase as a plan. -

How backhanded a compliment is it that I invoke Hanlon’s Razor here? I have little doubt that it is a combination of the two at play. -

What was KA’s line? We talked to a number of candidates? I bet those conversations were short. And not by KA’s design. Until shown otherwise, my belief continues to be that TP had so thoroughly polluted the reputation of this team that good players with options, and successful coaches and GMs with an actual market for their services, that are concerned about maintaining that market, will not come here. Period. And that is the root cause for the extreme reliance on build from within, inexperienced coaches and GMs, and a fear of the FA market in general. Of course, EEE only exacerbates this. Lindy Ruff is a hail mary signing of a coach with loyalty to the team and fanbase, that is at a point in his career where there is no next job to worry about. Seeing the fan vidoes of Lindy does not give me the optimism it gives many of the others. I see an old guy who is at the point in his career where he should be doing PR appearances and events, not going through the demands that head coach in the best league in the world needs to be doing. If the Lindy Ruff hiring fails, there are no options available to KA. And therefore no options available for TP. This could be a dead end, one way street. That is why I do not fear a new owner. If Lindy fails, there are no credible options for Terry and Kevin. Bleak, I know. But that is what my gut tells me. -

My theory is Lindy had to be talked into this, and agreed out of a sense of loyalty to Buffalo. There were no other established, successful coaches that wanted the job. -
We already flipped a coin to either chase a cup or lose the franchise. We lost that one. This choice is the same. There is literally nothing to lose at this point.

Oh hell yeah. What are the potential outcomes of a sale? 1. Awesome owner. Committed to doing what it takes to change the culture. Brings respect to an organization that used to have huge respect. Hell yeah, gimme some. 2. Crappy owner, just looking for the long term investment. Ok, so nothing changes. Whatever. Eventually apathy sets in and noone cares. We’re not that far from this now. Push. 3. Owner that moves the team. Just speeds along number 2 anyway. I see no downside and nothing but upside to an owner change.

If you knew what you were missing you’d bail now LOL

I am starting to think Rosen is a 2 contract NA pro and then has a lengthy career on the other side of the pond.
