  1. His best season was when the team was forced to lean heavily on him. My money is on the same happening again this season.
  2. You two are as bad as Hoss and Liger, but a touch better than Liger and #namesomeoneelse, and nowhere near Buffalonil and NS/Amerk. In case anyone was ranking.
  3. Sounds like he knew you’d react the way you did and he wanted to soften the blow and let you know that you are still valued. If that was his intent, that’s a good boss.
  4. I think #2 is the realistic choice for Rasmus.
  5. That would be about an ideal season for Cozens. Yes please.
  6. Well, minimal crowd in the stands so he’s gonna play his best. #sarcasm
  7. 30-40 pts and overmatched often, and substandard wingers preventing him from showing more.
  8. This would have been my response. Missing camp likely means he’ll be an injury call up at some point. Hopefully he makes the call up permanent.
  9. Quinn can’t even get replies in his own thread.
  10. Sabres fandom is no place for the meek of heart.
  11. Or he prioritizd one before the other.
  12. You are assuming he was not ok with the exodus. I wouldn’t make that assumption.
  13. Well, I cut it out so, yes, I was not responding to that statement. In fact, the statement I did respond to, and the statement you bolded are rather contradictory.
  14. Consistently good would be a nice next step.
  15. I think the overwhelming message here is, if you lower your expectations far enough you can be satisfied by what you see. In that context, I'm practically chubbing over the promise of this season.
  16. The ability to persuade C level types is a skill, and not an easy one to learn. It is highly valued in sales. KA's position requires a fair amount of salesmanship. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he has the personality to effectively communicate with and persuade C level types. The fact that he worked his way up through PSE the way he did strongly suggests to me that he demonstrates that skill.
  17. This may very well be accurate. And its a real kick to the groin that, due to his injury, we may have to settle for someone’s second best prospect and conditionals as the primary components. I sure hope its not accurate. I’d like to think that an 80% Jack is worthy of most teams top prospect, but it’s definitely not a given.
  18. KA seems to fundamentally disagree with your statement here. I think Coach Clappy disagreed as well. He reduced talent and brought the right mentality onto the team, then built the talent back up around the right mentality. IOW, built the culture, then built the winning team.
  19. I like this option best.
  20. I'm hard pressed to find optimism in any of these guys outperforming their contracts.
  21. Expanding on the risk..... Skinner's gotta play like he has linemates he trusts or line 1 is ineffective. Mitts and Tage need another level of development shown or that line isn't effective The 3rd line might be the most stable on a game to game basis, but won't put many pucks in the net. Hopefully Okposo can keep up with the workload because I suspect this line will see alot of the opponents top line. That 4th line is hope and prayer. Hope Asplund and Roots really are NHL players. If they are they may surprise other 4th lines.
  22. I wouldn't be surprised.
  23. Boy, there is some serious risk in that lineup. Failed his physical. He won't be on the ice.
