Luongo is 2.52, 919 % , 62 SO (29 in Florida) Miller is 2.59, 914 %, 28 SO Lou game 7 finals I'll take Lou
-
Guys/gals For what Miller makes compared to Luongo, I would take Lou over miller any day. Luongo is elite year in year out, on good and bad teams. Is he Hasek, no, but he's clearly better than Miller. If the Sabres can deal Miller, they should. also, Lou is liked by his mates, I don't think Ryan is by his. Heck Miller being a biatch was mentioned by Neil Smith last night on the broadcast I watched. Ouch

It's decisions like the Edler suspension that makes me realize why I don't invest my emotions in this game anymore. Edler goes behind the net where the goalie is handling the luck, he runs into him and really has very little area where he can go and it's worth 2 games? Yet Lucic has the entire ice to elude a bit, and much more time I might add and he gets two games. The NHL is an absolute joke in so many ways. They suspend some for little, don't for lots. They allow illegal goals and don't allow good ones. They have the most inconsistent reffing. They give 2 point games and 3 point games as well. I'm sorry but each passing year I get more and more fed up with this league. I wish another league could start up and do things right. It's no wonder it's got less tv ratings than bowling. I am just so aggravated by this suspension. It's a mess. I can only hope that one day someone will run this league properly and get things sorted out. NHL hockey is just not all that any longer. It's too bad this great game is being dragged farther and farther down wih each passing day. A suspension for a clean hit on a player wih the most protection on the ice? A penalty, sure. A fine, ok. What a mess. Just watched it. Wow. Did Torts rant and rave in disgust over that hit? Nash's hit is way worse than Lupul's. Seriously, the NHL IS A F'ING JOKE

I cannot believe the Sabres are 4 out with a game in hand. Pathetic really. I just noticed Cody H now has 24 pts. Not too shabby actually. He has lots to work on but I'm happy with this trade still. Big Zack has just 5 g and 3 a.

Folks, the NHL loves the "sometimes" 3 point game because it falsely makes the standings very tight and gives the perception that more teams have a shot at the playoffs. If they do the right thing and give 3 for reg win, 2 for ot win and 1 for ot/so loss, zero for reg loss, the standings will look like the English Premier League (soccer) and have 3 or 4 teams at the top and everyone else way behind. The NHL won't do the 3 teams are relegated route and teams that start poorly and are buried lose fans interest. The current way lets the league tout the "parody" jargon and makes everyone who's not blind, think the league is amazing. Personally if you are gonna give points it should be 3 reg win, 2 ot win, 1 ot loss, 0 reg loss or go the NBA/MLB route. Sadly we are dealing with the NHL. The league that doesn't allow a hair in the crease goal all year long, until the deciding goal in the Stanley Cup Finals. The league that doesn't realize that 2 mins for hooking shouldn't equal 2 minutes for elbowing someone in the face. The same league that has 3 lockouts in less than 20 years.

Sorry. I think the Canucks like Lack but it remains to be seen. If/when one of their goalies is dealt, they do need a backup and Lack would most likely be that guy.
-
The Canucks don't want Miller. They have two number one goalies right now.
-
Marty Biron?
-
FYI Cody Hodgson now has 12 goals, one more than Ovi.

I live around the corner from the kelowna rockets' coach. I should "accidentally'" run into him and ask him what he thinks is wrong with Myers' game?
-
Myers is a Sabre and will be for a long time. And this discussion will be looked back on with shame from some of you. Spndchz? Suckage? Come on. Hopefully Pegula will get a real coach who can see talent and help it along. Everyone was all over drew d in LA last year until his game finally showed up in the playoffs. Myers, like many on his team, have lost confidence and I'm sure aren't too happy with where they are at. All I can say is a short season is the season to tank. If the Habs can go from worst to first then hey...

miller makes those comments about Kaleta after the shocker he just played?? Where does he get off? Kaleta didn't name any names in his rant. Miller was downright direct with Kaleta. IMO they cannot move miller fast enough. Who's gonna want him after a game like that. He never seems to be able to throw himself under the bus. I hope I run into Myers this summer and I'm gonna ask him about their savior goalie. Blow it up!!!!
-
Seriously? Quick? If you think LA is gonna trade the Conn Smythe Winner to Buffalo for Miller then I'm sorry, you might wanna seek medical attention, and QUICK! Come on. LA will not move Quick. Bernier, that would be a sweet trade for Buffalo, but I think LA will want more than Miller, and in fact, if they have Quick, why would they want Miller??? No sense. Sorry.

OMG, we.....gulp.... agree on something. They should get rid of him just because he's such a sourpuss. Who needs that on a daily basis?
-
While it's nice that Enroth got a win and the team beat the stinkin Rangers, isn't the win really a loss for the Sabres? I mean, seriously, be competitive but these wins are killing their chance at the first overall pick. I swear, if they go on another late season tear and end up 2 or 3 points out of the playoffs and also finish 5th or 6th worse overall, it's gonna suck. This team needs a fresh start, next year, so just play the kids more and finish last for cryin out loud. Grigs should be playing 20 mins a game not 5. Get him experience when it doesn't matter if he messes up or not. This season is a freebee so use it that way. Finish last please!!!
-
Kaleta made a bad decision. Was it malicious? I don't believe so. But he has history and he will pay. However, to listen to Richards after the game, his comments were garbage. Kaleta is a hockey player and Richards' thoughts were out of line. And torts?? Why is it he only talks about kaleta's bad play yet not a word about Girardi? IMO that hit was far worse and intent to hurt. Kaleta was just stupid and the consequences were not good.

Well I guess I have to decide of I'm going to re-invests feelings again, now that Lindy has new fired, or wait and see how this team fairs. (I think I have an answer after another loss to the Leafs) I must say that his firing came much sooner than I thought it would. Reiger will most likely be on a short leash as well. Ruff is a good man but it was time. Gonna take a wait and see approach or possibly just wait til next year. Go Sabres

The voice is probably like torture to those who've had to listen to it for so many years. This team needs a new voice and one that won't coddle them. It's time. Put the feelings aside and admit, it's time for a new voice. See St Louis Blues.

I didn't say he has a perfect game but he's not a floater. I won't be dragged into a mudslinging match with others but I would rather have CH than Zack. He's been invisible again for the Canucks again.
-
I just caught the score and see the boys came out flat against a desperate team. Giving up goals a minute into the game again is a sign the coach doesn't have his team ready to go. I have to say that removing my emotions from this team is a relief. I watched the third period on Sunday and didn't feel anything, I just watched and tried to enjoy hockey. I really do believe that the owner will soon have no choice but to make the changes needed. On a side note we are off to Cali on the weekend and plan on seeing a Ducks game. 3 lower bowl corner seats, $180. Compared to a Canucks endzone seat at $195 each.

Having seen Kassian play a lot he's dropped off considerably since being taken off top line. I not talking about points just his play. He really doesn't look that good unless he's with the twins. He has the odd good game but he looks slow and uninterested. Hodgson does not take a shift off and works hard. I like this trade for buffalo still.

Again, wow on all the responses to this. In some ways I'm sorry for bringing it up because I feel like I've unlocked some deep emotions and upset everyone. But then I realized that its not my fault, it's the team's fault. What I've noticed about this thread is that it's got so many real, emotional feelings. It's not some punk spewing garbage blindly behind his laptop. No, it's real fans, many I'm sure who have paid many dollars to see the Sabres home games and away. It's people who truly are.....saddened by this. If Ted Black really does come on this site then maybe it's a thread he can pass on to Pegula and make him realize this is serious. That this thread is just a microcosm of what real fans think. I want to thank you all for posting and making me feel better because I know I'm not alone. I'll be a fan forever but until they make thovse hard decisions its just not worth it to waste time, energy and emotions on them. I remember when my St Louis (LA) Rams won the Super Bowl. Until Kurt Warner came along they were the losingest team of the 90's and then they turned it around and were the best and most entertaining team in football. I can leave this earth knowing they won it all once and that was great. I only hope the Sabres can do that too and give the diehard fans that feeling they'll never forget. Sabres fans deserve this!

Wow, I honestly didn't think my heartfelt post would render so many responses. I've posted many times over the years but probably haven't given out much personal info about me. I have been a fan of the Sabres for 37 years and counting. I fell in love with them when they reached the Finals in 75. I was 10 years old. I loved the French Connection. I loved Alex Mogilny so much I named my first born Alexander. I suffered through the no goal and all the years we were close. All this living in beautiful British Columbia. Many of you know that If Buffalo played the Canucks in the finals, I would cheer for the Sabres. Having said that , the Canucks are my number 1a team with the Sabres being number 1 solely. I've gone to many Canucks/Sabre tilts in Vancouver over the years, donning my Sabres gear, only to go home saddened by a Sabres loss. But I've also enjoyed some memorable wins too (last year with my son seeing his first live Sabres game) I remember talking with Scotty Bowman before a game hoping Tom Barrasso was in net because Bob Sauve had a horrible record against the nucks, stunned when Bowman didn't know that Sauve was terrible against them (Canucks 5-2 winners that night) I love the Sabres, love their uniforms, AGAIN. I love so much about them, but it's to that point where it's time to step back until they really ARE About winning. For years I would go to half empty Canucks games and then they finally did become about winning. About being a TOP organization. They want to win. They are committed to winning. They are still trying despite coming so close. They spend wisley for the most part. They try to get better. They really are a top team and keep trying to win it all, even if they fall short. They won't keep a coach or GM if its failing. They won't settle. And that is what their expansion cousins are not. And that is why I have to not emotionally get involved until the Sabres ARE serious about winning. So for all who support me or understand my feelings, thanks. And to those who don't, or who think I'm "just mad" rigjht now, that's fine too. Will I check their games every day? Yes. Do I want them to win? Of course. But Lindy needs to go and until he does, I'm not investing feelings. I love the Sabres and always will. Not gonna change that for sure. Hopefully the ownership will do the right thing, the hard thing, and go in a different direction. Go Sabres Go!!!
