I think KA learned a valuable lesson, or at least I hope he did, by giving TH a modified no trade list. That was a big error for a one year contract. Had he not done that he probably could've gotten more for Hall. I'm still sad Lazar got dealt. He is such a good young man, I want him to succeed. I worry he will get buried in the press box in Boston. I'm not saying KA should be fired, cuz he seems like he's a good man. I just hope he's not so nice that he's going to get bent over every time he makes a deal.

He finally got to prove himself and now I fear he will be in and out of the lineup in Boston. I have spoken to Curtis many times here in Kelowna and he really enjoyed Buffalo. I wonder how he will feel about this? I’m sure he will be happy for a chance to win, but will he play? I hope the best for him. Not a nicer kid will you meet. Not happy he was moved.

As the losing continues and we continue to hear about the dysfunction within the organization, one thing comes to mind for me. Who the hell wants to go to play for the Sabres? Its already a tough sell for many players but now, all I can see is players that are desperate to find a job, anywhere, will be the only ones the team can sign. And if that’s the case, then that means the team will be picking up lesser than stellar players. It will be a team of Reiders or Eakins and that means a not very good team. So this team can really only get better via the draft or trades. So, this could go on for many more years. Yikes

From the games I saw dis year, it was clear to me dat he wasn’t here for the long haul, and I believe he left his wife and kids in Minny because he knew dis was just a pit stop. Honestly though, I was not impressed with his work ethic in the slightest. I think he showed the kids how not to behave and it certainly rubbed off on them it seems. Step one of changing the culture. It’s too bad Brian Burke got hired by Pitt a few weeks back. Even if it were short term, he’d have put this team in notice and steered it in the right direction. He wouldn’t have been a long term hire because he doesn’t like to stick around anywhere too long these days, but he would’ve gotten the foundation poured and hired his replacement along the way. And the media would’ve had lots of fun.

It is odd that they loved RK a lot but ended up getting him fired for their inept play. Ive spoken in person to a current Sabre and it was the same thing, love RK. So this team really needs gutting because there is just too much residual effects from the tank. Gerard Gallant better be interviewed for the gig.

Didn’t see the game but I checked halfway through to see who stepped up and kicked someone’s ass for the bad hits the other night, only to see a Ketanf hook and Colin Miller holding call each. No spine from our boys apparently. Guess they didn’t want to risk a playoff spot by being silly out there.

I don’t have a subscription to the athletic but those excerpts are sad. And now we have a GM who’s is feeling the heat to make a move and uh oh is how I feel. We had a GM in JBot who shat the bed with the R O trade. Imagine how badly KA could be fleeced? To you actual people who pay to go to the games in Buffalo, while Covid sucks, it’s the thing that’s saved you money and seeing them live.

Let’s be honest. I hate the Leafs but Auston is a far better player than Jack and only getting better. And Jack wasn’t even close to a league mvp. He’s nowhere near as good as 97 either. Jack has 6 points 5 on 5. He gets the most ice time. He plays with skilled guys. He is far from carrying this team in his back like he should. Skinner is so streaky that he could literally be tied in goals with Jack next game. I’d strip that “C” off his chest pronto. Bo Horvat has a “C” on his chest and has 17 points. 6g 6a 5on5. He leads. And he’s not a supposed superstar. Its over. They are finishing last for sure this year. And if they don’t, shame on the Wings and any other team.

I love the Golden Knights. Vegas is our happy place ( well it was and will be again) and I loved watching them and wished my Sabres were like them. I even thought of switching allegiances but it’s too difficult to switch teams. I just decided I’d cheer for them and not worry about a Cup Final battle ( I mean, Sabres, Cup?) But yeah Vegas management made some good moves and capitalized on some major unprotected blunders by other teams.

15 shots in goal. I haven’t watched because I have a life, but also because the Islanders may very well be the worst team to watch play in the NHL. I can’t stand their style of play and of course they’re money when ahead , which always happens against Buffalo. Blow it up!

I am from BC and we did a good job with everything in the beginning but now so many people are just too selfish and lazy to follow through and this virus hangs around. Every weekend a group of anti maskers whining about 5G and their rights bla bla bla gather. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t been sick in over a year (since I had what I believe was Covid- awful) and I’m pretty happy about it. I am a social person but I’m all for masks and distancing until this is over. The flu? What’s that. There’s pretty much zero flu here. Gee I wonder why? I can say going fwd that every year I’ll start masking up when the seasons shift to fall/winter so I can avoid getting a nasty cold or other bug. I sick at being sick. But to the maniacs out there defiant in their big stand against the huge sacrifice of having to wear a mask, you know where you can stick it. I honestly can’t believe this is a sword people wanna fall on. The twits that gather here (and everywhere) should use that hour or two and try something constructive, like volunteering their time. Do some good instead of the Groundhog Day we are stuck in. To those who lost loved ones, sorry.

Love Dylan Cozens. Handled himself nicely. Rob Ray’s pee pee surely twinged lol This team needs building around Cozens. This kid will lead. Unlike the current captain. I watch Bo Horvat and the kid plays hard every night. He’s not as skilled as Jack but he outworks him every game. His body language is always positive no matter how poorly his team is playing. He’s a leader. I see Cozens being that guy for the Sabres down the road. Still say blow it up but Cozens is the guy we definitely keep.

I think the Jack Eiche experiment is over. He’s a good player but he’s not the generational player we were told he was. There are so many players out there that could replace Jack and quite literally the team would save money. When I see AM in Toronto dominate it shows me a far better player than Jack. The Oilers have two players better than Jack. The Canucks have two players who will be better than Jack (Pettersson maybe already) and Quinn Hughes (who is going to be better than Dahlin (if he’s not already) I could go down many teams best players and place them ahead of Jack. And then there are guys who aren’t as good as Jack but are far better leaders, and all round players. Maybe Jack can be McDavid 2.0 one day, but it won’t happen in Buffalo. He’s already damaged by the experience there, as are many who’ve been there the whole time. So I would trade him before they can’t move him. Get what you can. Get better team players, in areas where the team needs help.

Absolutely Lazar has been a plus.
