Came out flat. Also noticed Dahlin wasn’t passing as crisp as he normally does and Tage was just a little off tonight. Bobbled the puck quite a bit. Skinner could’ve had 4 easily. Little things cost ya in this league. Shouldn’t be losing to the Canucks.

Face offs matter for pick possesion. If you don’t have the puck you don’t score! Obviously it’s when you wins them but if you’re 13-5 consistently then chances are you win many in important times.

Horvat now 12-5 on face offs. Sabres need that!!

We are in the habit of losing already and it’s a shame we had so many top teams in these past 5 games. Canucks catching us at a bad time even though they’re crap too. But they see us on a fiver and came out ready. Frustrated to play so well against Boston and crap against Van.

Bo Horvat is who we should be trying to get.

This losing streak could get ugly

Guys, Martin is 3-1-1 while Demko is 1-8-2. Don’t underestimate Martin. Yes he’s backup. It he’s clearly better than Demko this season. Big Demko is really struggling.

I would hope coach has some choice words after that period. The Canucks are not a good team and we shouldn’t be losing to them. That was an awful period and Sabres are lucky not to be down 2 or 3.

Well, I have a pretty good inclination that Sam wasn’t that great a teammate either. (An ex Sabre basically said so when I spoke with him. I said what i thought and he didn’t correct me, so there’s that) But who knows? Anyway, that was a great trade for Sam.

But doesn’t the call on boosh change the game? Just sayin!

Sick of the nhl and the way they allow games to be called. Little moments in games matter (see high stick at two two against Vegas that wasn’t called and 30’secs later it’s 3-2) We didn’t lost tonight because of refs but apparently Marchand gets away with something and we get called and game changes. We haven’t learned how to overcome those moments. And we need some toughness too. Cozens is too important to be our enforcer! We need some vet help. Canucks haven’t signed Horvat. Look up his stats. Only McDavid has more goals in last 35 games. He’s the best face off man in nhl. We need a guy like him. Some d help, better tending. We will get there. I can’t wait to see the tables turn on a team like Boston. F them. Rant over.

And for that reason alone, anyone who misses him, shouldn’t. I’d rather lose with character guys over guys like him and Sam.

Krebs will be just fine. Let’s not give up on him just yet.

The only league where officials are good is rugby. And who watches rugby religiously? But they are brilliant. And when they’re not sure they go upstairs and you get to hear them tak it through to make sure it’s right. Also there is MAJOR respect from player to ref. No disrespect either way. No homers. No faves. If only other sports had this. We’d accept the calls then.

Why is officiating in pretty much all sports sh*t?

Jack’s issue shouldn’t have been with the fans who cheered him for 6 years. His reaction to scoring the other night was sadly what I expected. No class. I can name so many players who went back home and weren’t ***** like he is. The trade works for both teams and I’m glad it’s over. But never mistake Jack for being anything but a dick as a human being. He’s just an unlikeable guy. I’ll take Tuch every time even when he doesn’t play well.

Bruins have won something like 17 of last 18 against us, and I don’t expect a different result tonight. Hopefully after this brutal stretch we get our injured defenseman back and we start fighting the ship.

I think this team is finally heading ⬆️ and it’s going to have some pains along the way. I could care less about Jack and his big night the other day, we’re better off wo him. Reinhart (2-3-5) we’re hopefully gonna get Levi signed and Kulich will turn out nicely, we’re better off there too. Future is bright. It sucks we are in the division we are in so playoffs still look a ways away. But I’m finally at the point where I’m starting to care again. Buffalo will have its day soon. The Vegas game hurt but it was bound to happen. side note, we need our defense injuries to end and we need better goaltending. Offense is fine.

As I’ve said before, a former Sabre intimated to me, without saying it ( I said it), tha Sam wasn’t a great team guy. The fact those 3 core guys are gone and now this team loves each other, shows me GMKA made the right decisions to make those trades. As he said, he wants guys who WANT to be Sabres. Sam didn’t want to be a Sabre anymore. Onwards and upwards. The culture is shifting and the future is looking brighter. Love it!
