  1. The quote is from Devine as you know. I want to be harder to play against at all positions. If I'm picking at number eight and have to decide between Tachuk or Sergachev I'm taking the Chuck guy with the bloodlines etc. If he's not there, but Nylander is I'm taking Sergachev. We are going to be tougher to play against. No more soft. We are hard from here on out. If I cant land a Stamkos, maybe I get a Brouwer and add the Serg?? Lots of options and it is going to be fun!
  2. Well, I do appreciate your thoughts and yet they further reinforce mine. Stamkos provide immediate goals from the minute he starts. Points equal wins. We all like that. But the D that MAY be available in the draft could step in right away or a be a year out. It is help that will be up here if not immediately, soon enough. Stamkos in FA and a guy like Risto in the draft. Pretty good off season no?
  3. Fair point. Is money better spent overpaying Stamkos or Yandle then? I'm thinking Stamkos and drafting better stronger D.
  4. This is like outing oneself around here! Of course you are in the Peg so the Canadian bias is expected. But if I'm not mistaken but this is a Sabres board. That guy has done a lot of damage to us and like I said, everyone here should root against Crosby and for Joe. Sharks. Sharks in five. Sharks in six. Sharks in seven. Go Sharks and Jumbo Joe. He's paid his dues, let the hockey gods reward this man.
  5. I like this and your avatar! I was thinking if Bolts advanced it would Sharks in five. So I'm in full agreement with your assessment of Sharks in six. Every hockey fan regardless of team affiliation should be rooting for Jumbo much like when Teemu finally got his chance. All of those same people ought to be rooting against, ya Crosby. I'm sure all of us on here are.
  6. This is a great post because it is so in tune with my thoughts and very well laid out unlike mine would be. Post more often please! Ok. And they're out now. Tee times set for tomorrow. If this was the way it fell to us it would be an incredible lucky strike and one of them will be there for us. That's why I don't want to move up. One of this group will be there for us. Fill in the pieces. Full faith and confidence in GMTM so I'm not sweating this. He may do something radical and I'll be ok with that too but my comfort zone is in the trade avenue, pick up a decent fa and draft the best. It will be fun to see what he does.
  7. Do you want to get tougher to play against?
  8. Are you still not willing to pay?
  9. Shut out on tix. limited number to be released by the NHL on June 1st
  10. Fully agree and partly why I'm willing to do it. I have not and will not ever sell game tickets to them though. But for this and what they may be willing to pay? I think I will do it if I get the tickets. The price their willing to pay will be interesting. I mean there's no way in hell I'm giving you $500 for four seats for a draft. Nope. I'll see if they will though
  11. Supposed to find out today if we get seats for the draft. If I get the four I've requested, Hello Toronto? I want you to come here an have fun and enjoy the festivities. I'll take $500 for the four of them.
  12. I would rather keep CJ but if he's going to be a starter somewhere than Jonny would great if as Sabres Fan in NS states he has given up on being number 1 somewhere.
  13. This is crackpipe theory right? Sorry. le crack pipe!
  14. Agreed. I read it on the internet!
  15. What's the projection? 2 years in Roch? 3-4 D after that? Bust out of the league? Phenom?
  16. We're in full agreement about not giving anything up to move up to 8. If we have to move any assets I would want to reserve them for an NHL player trade. But who knows with GMTM. He might end up calling Peg and say I'll give you our draft lol. up from 8
  17. Same for me kinda. Stop pissing me off with all this Bogo trade talk. I really don't want to give up anything to get Griffin as I think he is just weak.
  18. Sorry, everything I've read here to move up to 4 is too rich for me. Not interested in Griffin either and see Bogo as long term here. Pass. We cant have a D consisting of all pansies plus Risto. Figuring Georges has one year left.
  19. Whatever's going on with this guy the longer he hasn't signed the higher our chances. From crap I've read, Vancouver really won't be a fit as he would be a ninth D man. Chicago and Buffalo have immediate ice time to offer but again some of the crap I read was two weeks ago this was imminent that he was signing in Chicago. Obviously he hasn't so I think there's some behind the scenes stuff going on. Doesn't sound a like a savior by any means but would certainly fill a void. Anyone actually seen him play?
  20. Who Ha! I meant like who ha that really bad!
  21. Evan Rodriguez just called. He's on line 2 for you. Nelson's on line 3 and Chad Ruhwedel was on line 1 but it seems he got tired of waiting and hung up.
  22. I think this team, Arizona, is not moving any farther that Phoenix. But it is a soap opera leading up to that ultimate conclusion. Like one in Spanish that you can't understand. But my oh my the dramatics are something everyone can understand. Head turn, camera close up, hot take on smoking babe. Gracias. Everybody looks and applauds.
  23. Sorry for the delayed response. No matter who got credit, It was Foligno that caused or created it and thus, the concept of Foligno was rebirthed.
  24. Yes as many have already pointed out. Also, reason why I haven't frequented hfboards in a long, long time. Too many kids posting from their parents basement... Backes is in a very unique situation. Somewhere in a playoff thread I think, I said if STL wins the cup they have to re sign him. If they don't, they won't.
