Anybody try getting Center Ice free/reduced from DirecTV?
Hank replied to eball's topic in The Aud Club
It's HD, but it's not the greatest quality. Rewind/FF is horrible. I never chose gamecenter over center ice, CI just wasn't a viable option. Last year GC was $50, full price for CI is $80. If you DTV you can probably call and get it a bit cheaper. The better quality definitely outweighs the minimal extra cost. -

Right or wrong, it sure seems that way to me too. -
Giovani is a stud. Look elsewhere.

I got Sunday ticket and center ice bundled yesterday. First three months I'm paying $45, fourth month I'm paying $50, months five and six I'm paying $31. $246 total for both. This is my first time getting center ice, I always got gamecenter and watch on the PS3. Is this a decent price or should I have stuck with gamecenter and watched on the PS4 (Purchased yesterday. Yay me!)? -
If they build a football stadium down town I may just move back home.

I see them whenever they are in Nashville. I'll see them in St. Louis when possible, and I used to go to Atlanta. I'm doing a Bandits/sabres weekend this year, which means going up there in winter, not a fan of that.

Luck/9ers - 44.70 points, Rivers/Forte/Browns - 34.42. Those ten points were the difference between you winning and losing this week, Good call...

I have no clue. I remember seeing it mentioned here and there, but more of an arena experience as opposed to a TV viewing experience.

1. Perhaps I reached a bit with Halifax and Saskatchewan. Maybe not. 2. Perhaps you misread my post. In no way was I lobbying for those cities to get a 2nd team. 3. Portland and KC are not silly at all. Neither is one of Houston/SA and SLC. A second NW team, a second Texas team, and the SLC or KC market would be good for the league long term. I agree that Hartford, and to a lesser extent Milwaukee is silly. 4. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but it's not really relevant to the point of what's good for the league long term. 5. I disagree. The NHL does not need canada. If Canadain teams left the NHL and formed a Canadian Professional Hockey League of 10-14 teams do you really think all them good ol Canadian boys would stay in the great white north for less money? Of course they wouldn't. That league would be the CFL on skates, good luck with that. If the arena crowd impacts your enjoyment of watching a game on TV, well, I think you in a very small minority on that one.

That's similar to what I said in my previous post so yes, I am in favor of the Bettman plan. You have a better idea to grow the game in the states, expand the NHL footprint, and increase revenue through a more lucrative TV deal? If so, I'd love to read it.

I have no idea what the Bergman plan is, care to elaborate?

I'll take Charles if you are unhappy with him. Make me an offer.

If I only had a running back.... Again, I am willing to part with Luck/Johnson/Marshall for a decent back.
-
I'm sure you could put a 2nd team in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, teams in QC, Halifax, Saskatchewan and Hamilton and those teams would be greatly supported and sell out every night. It's not about that. It's about expanding the footprint in the US in an effort to land a decent TV deal. Adding Canadian teams don't do that. I think Seattle/Portland/KC would embrace a Hockey team. I wouldn't mind seeing expansion into Houston/San Antonio, SLC or Milwaukee. Wouldn't mind seeing Hartford again either. Expansion into non-traditional hockey markets is important for the long term success of the league. It may not always work (Atlanta/Phoenix/Florida), but it IS working. Hockey is thriving in Nashville. It seems to be doing quite well in Raleigh too, and Anaheim, and San Jose is a great hockey city. Like I said before, take the emotion out of it. The NHL doesn't owe canada ######.
-
Suspensions are temporary, they'll still be top five.
-
I don't understand this "Canada is owed an expansion team" garbage. Take the emotion out of it, the right move is to try to expand their footprint inside the states. Someone please explain this to me.

You upgrade at QB and on D. Granted, it's not the fairest of offers, I was hoping for a counter and perhaps a meeting in the middle. I would imagine you would waive your current backup as I would waive Blount/Williams.
-
What? No counter? How disappointing.
-
Perhaps. But they'll be a bell of a lot better than the browns.
-
Juju, Newton may be out and your defense sucks. Luck/9ers for Forte/browns?
-
I can't find the trade block section on the app. Post them here?
-
Vulture? Me? Of course not. Just trying to help a fellow poster stay competitive.
-
Yes. That is what he's telling you. Make a fair offer and I'll take them both.
