  1. I don't know if all these congressmen in the video are lying. I suppose they could be, hopefully we learn something from tomorrow's hearings.
  2. Everything @DOGE does will be published for the world to see. Let the public judge for themselves.
  3. This can't end well...
  4. This is interesting, I wonder how it plays out on appeal.
  5. I didn't mean to trigger your TDS. pace yourself, it's going to be a long four years.
  6. I agree with everything you said. I'm astonished his approval rating is so high, and I wonder what it represents, if anything.
  7. I share your concerns. I did read something in there about rewriting some of the language, so maybe it's not being scrapped altogether? Scrapping it seems batshit crazy, even for Trump. I can't believe his approval rating is so high.
  8. Thank you for correcting me on the bolded Weave. Also, I appreciate the civil discussion.
  9. This is a fair question. I honestly don't know. All I could do is guess, and any guess from me on this would be *****. It seems a very reasonable question though, hopefully someone will ask in during the hearing.
  10. I understand where you're coming from and share some of your concerns. I'm also concerned about the power grab. I keep going back to the birthright citizenship, it was unconstitutional and was quickly shut down. Musk still going strong gives me doubt on whether he/Trump are violating the constitution. I think more likely than not probably, but the stark contrast between DOGE and B.C. gives me pause. Politicians on both sides of the aisle have told us many lies over the last decade so I'm skeptical of anything any of them say. It may turn out to be the constitutional crisis you think, I won't argue against it, I'm just not there yet.
  11. You know what I find interesting? People want to talk about how evil Musk is, what's his REAL motives, is what he's doing even legal. No one wants to talk about all the fraud, waste and a use he claims to have found. Why is that?
  12. We had Trump four years, we knew what we were getting. The Biden/Harris administration was so bad the country said we don't want Harris, let's try Trump again.

  14. Thank you for asking Weave. In general I like the idea of USAID being audited. Musk claims to have found much waste and abuse, possibly corruption. Obviously I can't know the truthfulness of his claims. I'm hoping the hearings on Wednesday will be broadcast on C-SPAN, I am interested in seeing them. I question if the way they are going about it is legal, my hunch is it is not but I have no idea. My opinion is that Musk is attempting to be transparent on what he's finding with the constantly updated website and the never ending tweets. YMMV on that. From what he claims to uncovered I see alot of things I personally don't want my tax dollars going to. Again, YMMV on that and I don't fault anyone for having different views than myself. These are interesting times. What Musk is doing is unprecedented and I find myself captivated by it. I'm very curious to see how it plays out. Will the ends justify the means? That may depend on which side of the political aisle you're on, but none the less it's interesting.
  15. I would expect that luxury hotel will be receiving a visit from ICE

  17. First DOGE hearing will be Wednesday 10AM. If C-SPAN airs it I recommend the fear mongerers on here watch it.
  18. I think if Trump and Musk were smart the would have directed USAID to give billion to a lab in Wuhan to create a virus that will decimate the world. Then pharmaceutical companies could have made billions developing vaccinations while kicking back millions to republican Senators, congressmen and representatives closest to them. Choosing to get rid of fraud, waste and abuse instead was a real missed opportunity. Orange man bad.
  19. These seem like good things.
  20. How can you listen to this clip and not think Rubio sounds reasonable?
  21. Why Elon Musk And DOGE Terrify Democrats Derek Hunter You may have noticed the absolute meltdown of the left over the existence of Elon Musk and the DOGE team doing exactly what Donald Trump was elected to do. I phrased it that way because that’s exactly what is happening – someone is finally going through the government’s books and records to figure out what people do, how much it costs, where the rest of the money is going and whether or not we can live without it since we’re more than $36 trillion in debt. Why would anyone meltdown over that? There’s a very simple reason: Democrats cannot afford for the American people realizing how much government they can live without. More than that, they can’t have the public recognize how much the government was actually getting in their way and impeding their success. The public doing either of those two things would be the end of the Democratic Party. Not one single person in the Democratic Party, either elected or in journalism, has commented positively on anything the Department of Government Efficiency has uncovered and ended so far, nothing. No matter how wasteful, no matter how absurd, no matter how insane or stupid, Democrats are angry that DOGE exists, not that we taxpayers are being ripped off. That tells you something. The most amazing part of all of it is how these people, who’ve spent decades milking taxpayers for their pet causes, for money to fund organizations that employ their children and fund their campaigns, that hire and pay them exorbitant amounts of money for no-show or symbolic jobs when they retire, that use insider information that make them more successful at stock trading than people who do it for a living, have the audacity to refer to what Musk and the crew are doing as somehow motivated by “greed.” {snip} The “kids,” as the left likes to belittlingly call them, who work with him are not in it for the money, either. Most have founded companies, won massive investments in their ideas, and don’t need anything to be more successful than anyone whining about them. What they want, what they crave is a challenge. People who’ve risked and accomplished nothing have no understanding of how successful people, at any level, need a challenge. Standing on top of a mountain is boring, climbing to the top of it is what life is all about. Get there, conquer, then move on to the next things
