  1. I was just curious, thank you for answering.
  2. Fair question. My answer is it depends on where the cuts are coming from. 80K nationwide seems reasonable. So far cuts have not affected my local VA or my VSO counterparts who work with me assisting local veterans. When/if it does I'll be on here bitching about it. Are you aware that most of what you paste on here is from far left bluesky? Not a criticism, just an observation.
  3. What did the VP say that you feel was inaccurate? Trump is applying pressure on Zelenskyy to sign a deal, nothing more.
  4. My Brother-in-law works for Crossett driving an oil tanker. He drives to Canada 4-5 times a week to pick up, the tariffs will definitely impact his employer, and him.
  5. This makes me happy.
  6. Wow! I had no idea there was such a stark contrast. I guess I always assumed canada was on a more level playing field with the US. I'll be the first to admit I don't know a damn thing about tariffs. This is also some good info, thanks. Everything I've read says that the Tariffs will be a bad thing short term. As far as long term what I've read is mixed. Some say it could be good for the US long term. Unfortunately, it looks like we're going to find out.
  7. Zelenskyy says hes coming back to the negotiating table.
  8. Because it seems like an important issue to bankrupt a country? Kinda surprised I'd need to explain why I'd find that interesting. Hard to believe I'm in the minority on this one. You DID quote my post asking the question, asking for clarity on your confusing response seemed appropriate. The man, I don't disagree, the content was funny IMO, YMMV.
  9. You quoted me, but I don't think your bluesky paste answered my question, I really am curious if it's possible to bankrupt Canada through tariffs.
  10. Lets say Trump did want to bankrupt Canada. Is it possible for him to do it through these tariffs?
  11. People who are responsible with thier money are entitled? That's certainly an opinion, I guess. Perhaps I misinterpreted what you were saying?
  12. Strong words from the Canadian MP
  13. That's what I do, on a smaller scale of course. Recessions are yard sales for the well prepared. Every one of my major purchases (houses, vehicles, boat, additions to the house) were made during a recession.
  14. I don't think you're wrong for having a different opinion than me, we can respectfully disagree on an issue. Admittedly, I went too far with this one. The deal was apparently agreed to by Zelenskyy's own words. I thought it would have led to the end of the war, I think we can agree that we both want that. I'm pissed that our own people tanked it, and I firmly believe if it was anybody else not named Trump in office they wouldn't have done it.
  15. I don't want Bondi to manufacture anything. If she's not able to bring legitimate charges than so be it. Respectfully, I disagree with this entire post, some of it vehemently. The full 50 minute video is out there, if you watch it it may alter your perspective a little. I've worked many ops with NATO forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, I fully support the US pulling out of NATO. The bolded: how do you propose the US provide security guarantees short of sending American forces to Ukraine? As someone who served most of his adult life, I do not support sending American forces to Ukraine. As you said upthread, if Putin does take Ukraine it may be the countries that border it that he goes after next. THOSE are the countries that should be fighting with Ukraine.
  16. Oh, the irony. The hypocrisy of the libnuts never ceases to amaze...
  17. I have no idea, she likely cannot. That's why I used the words "hope" and "can find".
  18. An international voice of reason.
  19. Listen to this woman Dems, and learn. You may not like her message, but she's not wrong.
