Soccer (Football) ~ Everything About The Beautiful Game
Hank replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
From left to right in front of Howard it went cherundalo, bocanegra, Cameron and Johnson. Cameron is going to be a stud. How's things looking for norway? -
Look, I'm not trying to dump on you, you drew a parallel and I'm curious how you got there. If you want we can discuss it off line. Or if you want to drop it, that's cool too.

Fine, moving on, I'd still like tepponator to explain the parallel between today's US and the former soviet union. If I can understand where he's going with it, I might agree with him.

Thanks for the info on Bradley. Cherondolo does not stick out to me at all, I guess in that sense I do overlook him. I don't see him being around for the next world cup though, assuming we make it. -
Don't apologize. We've seen much worse around here without that happening. I'm you would have taken it off line had you been asked. Or warned. Or anything.

Nice to see them pick up the win. Anyone know how long Bradley will be out? Different team without him. -
As a Sabres fan, are you better off than you were four years ago?

From me? Care to elaborate? -

So, a couple posters have a tiff and we shut down a thread? That's how it works now? Nevermind the intelligent discussion over the past couple days from a half dozen posters, just shut the thread down! Really? That was the only recourse? Couldn't think of ANY other way to resolve the issue? Just shut down the thread? Are you freakin kidding me? Pitiful! Oh, yeah, I think the sabres are much better off today than four years ago. The D is stocked and the future looks bright at center, we are definately heading in the right direction. -
This is sound advice, not everything over the counter is good for you. Last deployment I was introduced to Jacked3d. It was by far the best supplement I've ever taken and the results were incredible. I'd take three scoops before working out and my body would get a "buzzing" feeling. My profile pic is about five months into Jacked3d, I had a 58" chest and a 34" waist and my bench went from 285 to 405. I attribute probably at least 50% of the increase to the supplement. It turns out there was something in it that made it unsafe and the army banned it, and I believe sometime later it was pulled out of stores all together. A couple things to keep in mind, there are different kind of workouts based on what results you want. Think of the guys you see in strongest man competitions on TV. They are strong as an ox, but shaped like a barrel. They are much stronger than the guys you see in the muscle magazines, but their physiques are no where near as good. One of my good friends has that muscle mag body, what he does is he works one muscle group one day a week. He completely shreds the muscle for about two hours and does a different group every day, but he has an incredible physique. I work chest, back and shoulders one day, arms and legs the 2nd day, 3rd day I alternate between core exercises, cardio and rest. I'm much stronger than my friend, but my physique is nowhere near as good ad his. If your goal is to get real thick in the chest be careful, if you gain, I don't know, say six inches in your pecs, they will never shrink back to where they used to be. If you don't maintain and get lazy, you will end up with tits.

How do you draw a parallel from the former soviet union to the US based on that article?

Fwiw, the predators are thriving in Nashville. A few years ago I could walk up to a scalper 15 minutes before face off and buy $80 tickets for $30. Last year those same tickets would cost $100-120. There's a demand for the tickets now that exceeds supply, fans are pumped about thier team and hockey continues to grow in middle Tennessee. When posters throw out examples of southern market teams that aren't working, they need to leave the Preds out of it.

Is it possible the Canadian teams could secede from the NHL and form thier own Canadian Professional Hockey League. Maybe add teams in Quebec, a 2nd in Toronto and Hamilton, giving them a 10 team league that could compete with the NHL? If it is possible, would anyone like to see it happen?

Don't know about the back. It's for joints, so I'm skeptical.
-
It's awesome. Before I started taking it I was in constant pain and wore knee braces to run. About 3-4 weeks after I started taking it I was pain free, and have remained so for about three years now. Of course, as I said up thread I've been yo-yoing between 185 & 230 for a decade. I'm guessing the added pounds was a factor too.
-
Is it the additional costs such as that that make it difficult to branch out on yOur own? In the long run, is it worth it?
-
I don't dispute the fact that it's true, but I think the why is an important variable that directly impacts the result and should not be overlooked.
-
Free we Free weights - high weight, low reps. Take a weight gain supplement(tru-mass, mass-tech or some equivalent).
-
I hear ya. The last decade I yo-yo between 185 & 230. I found its much harder to stay in shape when I'm home, life gets in the way.

1st point - I think R&D would still be financed, either through the government or through private funding. 2nd point - the why is important because in this case it is relevant. Of course insured people see the doctor more than uninsured people. Uninsured people can't get in to see the dr, the study is flawed. Uninsured people would see the doc if they could, but they can't. Maybe I just can't explain my point well :-(

I think the why does change the numbers, and I think you are too smart not to see that. Let's just agree to disagree on this one instead of going back and forth. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Is that why a wal-mart pharmacist quoted me a price of $740 for 30 Viagra? If so, it sucks, and I'd definately like to see meds capped.

Awesome gentlemen. Weight loss will definately have an effect on your knee pain. Supplements might help too, I take tripple strength flexamin, it makes world of difference. Hope you don't mind some unsolicited advice: Cardio: if running gets to be too hard on the knees walk on a treadmill at 3% incline at 4.2 mph, that should burn about 1000 calories an hour without too much impact on the knees. Weight loss: what you put into your body has way more impact on weight loss than exercising. Every deployment I have fat kids that lose 20+ pounds the first month. It has alot more to do with beer and pizza being eliminated from thier diet than anything else. Your body will adjust to what you are doing. Don't get discouraged if you plateau, switch it up. If you are like me and prefer free weights at your own pace, when you do plateau switch to crossfit for a couple weeks then go back to the weights. Crossfit. I hate it, don't need it, won't do it, but it is absolutely the best thing for weight loss.

Wouldn't you agree that the if, without the why, is not a true representation of the facts? Not to the same level. EVERYONE is entitled to a public education up to high school graduation. Not everyone can go to the doctor if they don't have insurance. Thank you, that seems to be pretty much the system I would like put in place here. Agreed I don't understand what you mean with this statement.

We have free education through highschool. We also have private schools for those that can afford it. Why can't we have public and private healthcare also?

Re: the MIT study. Say you and I both go to the ER for a gunshot wound to the chest and require surgery. Both wound and surgery are similar. I have health insurance and you do not. Is it possible you might be declared fit to go home after seven days, whereas I'm not sent home until day twelve, based solely on the fact that I have insurance and you don't? I think it's not only possible, but likely, and that that fact would skew the study. Also, I can see the doc for the common cold, whereas the uninsured cannot because they would be turned away. That would also impact the MIT study.
