So Wild, those creatures you were talking about eating the other day, was that street food, tweezer food, or something in between?

I was going to ask Liger or WC soon on making clips, so yes

I was just guessing. Now that I look at the team stats, Columbus is second lowest in the league for PP attempts, which is the number that makes today's numbers small As to why, I don't know
-
No, I think it means that Columbus does not get a lot of PP minutes

I'm saying that everyone is a complimentary player. Eichel isn't scoring goals because he is playing with Kane. Pu wasn't scoring because he was playing with Jones or the checking line. Derek Grant wasn't scoring because he was playing with the 4th line in Buffalo, after a couple injuries in Anaheim, he's on a top line, and magically, he starts to score. I expect Pu to be better than Jones and Thomas, and Thomas is going to be good.
-
Outside of Pu, the London Knights are led by two first round draft picks, Robert Thomas 2017 (20) to St Louis, and Max Jones 2016 (24) to Anaheim. About a year ago, Max Jones stopped scoring. This year starts with the Knights strategy of playing Pu with the checking line. Pu gets off to a 'slow start' The next strategy is trying to fix Max Jones, who seemingly does not pass the puck. Pu continues his 'slow start' Recently, Pu has been playing with Robert Thomas, and coincidentally, Pu scores big time. There is nothing wrong with Cliff Pu

Regarding Stuart Percy, I don't see Rochester games, all I see is 7pts in 9 games and that he was drafted in the first round by Toronto. Does he get PK time? Does he get PP time? Is he a defensive liability?

Tell me about Stuart Percy

Not only that, during his NCAA year, Keller is 8 months younger than Mittelstadt's NCAA year, which is huge at that age. Keller isn't far from Eichel, Mittelstadt's in an entire different group of prospects.

Last night was Florida 4-1 with a couple of empty net goals. Home game. For me these numbers are similar to what the last coach was doing, O'Reilly gets the tough minutes, the 4th line gets the 4th line, and Scandella in the role of the injured Risto. The major difference from last year was that last year they would have Larsson getting tough minutes. Early this season, it seemed to me that Housley's intent was to get Reinhart choice playing time, but that didn't work. Lately he had the Eichel/Kane line against the other teams top line, this game for me is something new, and something old. Josie, consider the same design with your Eichel drawing instead of the UB Bull

Scoring is contextual

A 3-1 win against Washington in Buffalo. Kane puts in the empty netter for his 2nd of the game. The surprise in line matching, for me, is Fedun. I thought Dallas would match lines, but this could have been a home game for the Sabres. If it's been a while and you don't remember this one, Dallas scored 4 quickly, it ended up 5-1, or something like that, in Dallas. Laine's game is like OV's game, he finds space and waits for the puck. Last season Laine played with Sheifele until the final 10 games. This year he plays with Little and Ehlers. My guess here, and it's just speculation, is that if they left him with Sheiflele, he'd expect 10m next contract. If you play him on lower lines, he gets much less money, then you can move him back to Sheifele once he signs the 5m contract.

It is remotely accurate that Eichel faces the other teams best scorers, but for me there's more to glean from this data. Just looking at the Arizona game, to me it looks like a home game, which means to me that Tochett doesn't care about matching lines. Getting, likely, their best defensive forward (Larsson) against Arizona's best scorers is an option Tochett can avoid, but doesn't. Last year I didn't walk through every game, but the compilation states that Bylsma was trying to get O'Reilly against the best scores, and the fourth line against the other teams fourth line, with Eichel and Reinhart against 2nd lines. This year the strategy is all different, it's often trying to get Eichel and Kane against the other teams best line, and have Reinhart and Griffith beat the fourth line. The defense has also been interesting to me. There have been games that the opposition tries to take advantage of Buffalo's 3rd pair (like WR notes after the Boston game) and then there are games that the opposition doesn't care (again the Arizona game).
