  1. There is however a real black eye to being bought out
  2. Well he loses 7 mil total so I imagine he’d want to make that up in the next 3 years
  3. GFD probably one of the possible trades that fell through for us
  4. Stupid Skinner, just give us a few options or we'll be forced to play you 6 min a night on the 4th line.
  5. This is definitely a precursor trade; we have plans to make another deal but are looking to stretch are assets as much as possible. Let's say Winnipeg wants a mid 1st for Ehlers; no reason we'd need to give them 11. 14 is more mid 1st. I could even see us deal further down and collect more 2nds in order to use those extras to make a separate trade.
  6. Well, Necas would effectively be replacing Skinner due to his ask.
  7. Well that's a start I guess; moves down a hair and picks up a 2nd. More assets to use in another deal.
  8. Skinner on average has gotten more points in most years Necas 23 - 24 77 GP - 53 PTs 22 - 23 82 GP - 71 PTs 21 - 22 78 GP - 40 PTS 20 - 21 53 GP - 41 PTs 19 - 20 64 GP - 36 PTS Skinner 23 - 24 74 GP - 46 PTs 22 - 23 79 GP - 82 PTs 21 - 22 80 GP - 63 PTS 20 - 21 53 GP - 14 PTs Kruegerized 19 - 20 59 GP - 23 PTS Kruegerized 18 - 19 82 GP - 63 PTS
  9. I'm frankly not a fan of Necas which is likely where this stems from.
  10. the latter Effectively in my opinion, spending assets and money to sign Necas and buyout Skinner is a worse outcome than running it back entirely due to the fact I don't see Necas as much of a boost to this team if at all. If I have an IPhone 12 and I buy out the contract, then proceed to give up father's flip phone and purchase another contract for a slightly shinier IPhone 12 then all I've done is spend money and assets for the sake of it.
  11. I would disagree with the top but that doesn't mean I want to run it back
  12. From @Gabrielor ironically enough
  13. I do love when players have dark and white hairs mixed. 😁
  14. Maybe for a Cup Win but otherwise I feel it would end up uncanny
  15. Thompson is a center and wasn’t good as a winger
  16. I may just die if they trade for Necas after buying out Skinner; I’d be unable to fathom us ever improving
  17. No, Power isn’t being traded
  18. Hate that idea He is effectively a taller Jeff Skinner looking for money Bad defensive stats Doesn't hit much Has almost 1-3 Takeaways to Giveaways
  19. We have zero need for a 1C or 2C, we already have Thompson and Cozens; it would be a bonus if we got a 2C that allowed Cozens to play 2LW
  20. NMC That is the problem more than likely. Isn't weird how a buyout of a NMC still sends the player through waivers?
  21. Highly doubt any of those 5 are traded; I'd almost guarantee it. So he took "Beat Reporter" a different way
  22. Terry wanted him signed while Botts supposedly was going to let him walk. A perfect replacement would be Mangiapane out of Calgary, had a down year last year but has scored 30 and plays solid in both ends. 1x5.8mil which fits the Skinner savings rather well.
  23. Pisses me off because he'll go sign in Toronto and score 35 goals
  24. I recall seeing something similar but couldn't decide if it was due to injury or general playoff hockey tightness. Now we know why one of the most dynamic players I have ever seen, looked less so. Draisatil I knew had some sort of injury because he fell off a cliff during the Conference Finals against Dallas. Guy has historically played nothing short of godly in the playoffs suddenly looks bleh; I highly doubt its that Draisatil sucks now... (looking at you random Twitter people) His finger injury also reminds me of Thompson's struggles this year and how much the hands matter to a shooter; while obvious it would effect it to some degree, it can practically neuter a player. Not to mention Draisatil grit through a high-ankle sprain the one playoff and still had an impact which shows it wasn't some sort of lacking of pain tolerance or willpower.
