Risto and Meszaros get 5 a piece, I think Risto will start looking like a true #1 D-man as the year progresses Without Leino I had a 1 goal minimum

Ennis has been 1st line center since last year; is he one.... not really, but he's our best center presently. Foligno was a center off and on the last two years Hodgson's lack of defensive ability makes him less pain inducing if he's your winger. He seemed to improve at the end of the year when he was a winger too. I feel Ellis will end up in Rochester, and now that you reminded me of Delauriers, Larsson would likely be as well. Ennis is, at the moment our best center thus would be #1 center. Girgs may be a more all around player, he's still only in his 2nd year.

Girgs is somewhere between a 2nd and 3rd line center varying on how good his offensive talents become, and Hodgson will likely play wing a lot this year so I'd take a guess that either Reinhart will play "2nd line" center while Girgs would have "3rd line" duties yet have more ice time. Either that or Brian Flynn and Larsson may split the job or maybe even Foligno. It would very as to where the NYI are in the standings and to a lesser extent ST.L along with who's helping us make it to the playoffs. If Girgs, Risto and friends are at least a good part of the reasoning behind a playoff push then certainly. If its merely Stafford, Stewart, Gionta, and Moulson having career years I'd rather not. If NYI was near the bottom however, I wouldn't care about Buffalo's position. So to sum it up, if the rookies and youngsters are the primary or at least a large part of the reasoning Buffalo is going to pull of a worst to 7/8th in a year then logic would dictate the NYI are very likely not also in thus still giving us a lottery pick. As long as we don't middle it and have the NYI going to the playoffs I can live with it.

They owe us for the taxpayer money theyve sucked out of the system. As for learning English, that would be a requirement along with knowledge of U.S. history and renouncing of their former citizenship. If they wish to be Americans, then they will need to "become" Americans.

For starters I'd round up the many illegal immirgrants and give them the option to either help build a massive wall along the border, serve in the military or work for the government all with a heavy 15% tax to recapture any taxpayer money that has been funneled into illegals. This tax after 5 years would drop by 3% every year until year 10 when it'd go away. The wall would be large product that'd include military outposts along it.

I'd be willing to give Montreal Myers and St. Louis's 1st and the NYI's 2nd for Subban :)

Hey while we're at it lets grab Adam Oates and Wayne Gretzky along with Irbe and we'll have the most skilled coaching staff in the NHL. Good hiring, bringing in more cup experience and greatness never hurts.

Girgs to me is a 2nd lime center/winger if he can get the offensive ability he has shown at times to be a bit more consistent. Could he become the next Datsyuk, I doubt it since Datsyuk is a sick stick handler while Girgs plays more of the power forward style. Put Girgs on the top line with a McDavid/Eichel and he would have the potential to be an elite winger and put up 70-80 points a season. However I feel about 50-60 points a year will be his typical output as winger or center on the 2nd or about 45 points on the 3rd line. Either way though I see his primary usage as an elite 2-way forward.

I actually agree with Paul Hamilton on this; Risto was originally pissed about being sent down, but hit it off with a vet D-man down there. He got humbled by the experience and looked much better when he returned. Could he have done the same in Buffalo? I'm uncertain, I think he needed that humbling experience and the sheer difference in situation likely helped foster his improvement. It may have also helped due to his experience in the Finnish league and having a closer skill jump to allow him to adjust his game. Thus when he returned he had grown up a lot, was more confident, and had a sense of accomplishment.

I'd classify anything west of and including Syracuse would be part of the Sabres Hometown team.

Next year will actually be sorta fun to watch for there'd be no stress for them to win on our parts. It won't be a roster of rejects and misfits anymore and will actually start to show some of what is to come. McEichel or not in two seasons there are legitimate reasons for hopefulness.
