  1. Yes, but that was when they used to do it in late July. A lot of the prospects not here have been playing with Rochester, Buffalo until April/May or in a few specific cases their Juniors team until early June. One other caveat is that I'd guess Adams had intentions of trading a prospect potentially and didn't want to have them in town and then trade one out of camp.
  2. Good move, gives us the option of Levi in Rochester or Buffalo
  3. They destroyed Luke without giving him enough of a reason to heel-face turn from being almost absurd levels of believing in the good of his dad to trying to kill his nephew. Plus I liked the EU's Luke getting to get married and have kids etc. Felt like he earned a happy ending and deserved to have a semblance of one. The real world is bleak and sad enough, making heroes have sad and melancholy lives "after the story" might be realistic but aren't in any way fun. Wrong thread though lol
  4. Its hard to truly say; they are definitely better rounded as a roster and should have more ability to beat team who want to muck up center ice and kill our run & gun style. However skill is lower than last season.
  5. Hopefully your just being contrarian because TLJ was the worst Star Wars movie I have ever seen in terms of sheer lore destroying and a strange desire to endlessly subvert fan desires
  6. Not really depending on the actual offer. Selfishly I wouldn’t of complained though because he was one of my favorite players
  7. Ullmark - hadn’t played a full season until that last year. Would of been extremely risky to give starters money to a guy who was injured 2 months every season. Portillo - there were rumors about him running even prior to Levi’s arrival. He was offered a contract the year Power came up and he stayed. UPL - hadn’t earned squat going into last season. Like Ullmark he was frequently hurt and had 1 good month to his name. Reinhart - a tragedy of circumstance; bridged by Botts and then bridged during and likely due to COVID. Seemed to leave on a good foot however. Montour - badly used by Krueger and thus ended up a true casualty of Krueger’s time here. Mitts was likely part locker room shakeup and part desperation for another Top 4 Dman. We’ve also been more than accommodating to vets and others looking for deadline opportunities
  8. Sad, it needed to happen but I’ll always love Girgs
  9. Skinner has never made the playoffs while on two different teams Perry has lost in the Finals 4/5 years Which will continue?
  10. I didn’t say a perfect offseason just a great one. Granted the bar is rather low at this point so looking like you actually want to make the playoffs is big.
  11. Worst part is all they need to do is acquire 1 Top 6 player or a solid 3C and they would have had a damn good offseason. So close to greatness!
  12. Good luck Skinner; happy he didn’t go to Toronto
  13. If they don’t make any moves, we should organize group pickets and signs telling Terry to stop being Scrooge and Adams to make this team a playoff team or resign
  14. Felt like 1 part BS, 1 part truth, and 1 part a façade
  15. Forgot this guy won the Cup with Colorado and was the one who accidently dented it lol
  16. Frankly its kind of the opposite in terms of style ironically enough We have been targeting the meat & potatoes type players versus the fancy garnishes
  17. That's why I use it generally as a threat and with most teams around the league eating their cap alive; trading Ekblad will only get harder.
  18. In terms of team depth; it seems we've finally figured out the whole acquiring Bot 6 players that aren't Top 6 players that underachieved very well.
  19. Actually has a tad better stats than Malinstyne but its great to have some redundancy in that department.
  20. Solid defensive depth Bryson at far more acceptable rate than his QO Hometown kid to be either #8 of first callup
  21. Well if that comes through they are certainly reforming their bot 6 with vigor at least.
  22. He actually was rather good in the playoffs this past year. Plus its one year for a depth forward with a ton of experience; it's better than paying some random player 5x6mil for the same role and output
  23. Eh, I guess I'll give you that one singular one lol
  24. The real only major positive I've seen is we haven't done anything legitimately stupid contract wise.
  25. Overpaid for 1 year, not really anything to wring your hands over
