Play the game with less "How do ya do" and more "***** you!"
-
Frankly it went from annoying to sad to inspiring to confusing and now just sad again.

A very well deserved win for the kids; they outplayed them and Ullmark is the only reason Ottawa was even in the game. -

Announcers seem disappointed in Ottawa's team in this game since we've got only Amerks + Icemen playing AHL and NHL Senators -

One very noticeable thing, lots of net front and out working of Ottawa's B-ish team. -

Ullmark is really the only thing preventing us from destroying them already -
The rotational thing is a Lindy thing, has been for as long as I can remember. We had rotating Cs and Dual Cs at different points in the past so alternating alternates isn't some sort of "new" thing.

Definitely enjoyed though how the montage showed him grow up as well as throw some checks, block a shot and score/assist. Loved Allen narrating it; I'd bet Dawkins is happy about this too seeing as they are at very least acquaintances He proved his "captain" qualities last year because even as the season slipped away, he continued to block shots with the empty net and throw himself into scrums as he tried to will the team forward. Supposedly he's a natural born leader type as he has had leadership roles on other teams through his youth.

One oddity, in 2022, both teams in the Global Series played a game against a local Euro-team This year only the Sabres are while the Devils don't appear to be playing anyone but us in Europe.
-
They leave supposedly September 29th and have no European exhibition games We have an exhibition game with Munich this Friday thus requiring us to be there earlier.

No, RJ did one game from 716 to which I went to and even got a handshake and hug from the late great announcer. (6 people in a row hugged him and I guess he just got into a rhythm because I hadn't intended to lol)

Vanek was never a physical player but was certainly a tough player in that he would take beatings in front of the net and keep going back. -
In this case I don't think its being cheap; I think its just standard practice for the international games.

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised either way. -
As long as he plays with a guy who makes up some of his shortcomings I couldn’t care less how he puts up points. If Thompson put up 70 goals and 30 assists would that bother you?

When healthy, Tage is definitely Top 15 in terms of offense. As a whole when including defensive play, which did improve a bit last year, he's likely somewhere between 15 and 20 OA in the league. Stamkos wasn't a center in Tampa the last couple years. Last year, his specific injury greatly impacted his greatest asset in his stickhandling and shot. Imagine if McDavid lost most of his speed for a year; he'd still put up points for sure but wouldn't be the same player in the slightest.

I think it’s more the idea than the actual push-ups. The idea that you’re effectively being punished like a child has a strong connection their youth hockey days. It also scales with the length of the practice. Begs to question what the team even did with Krueger at practice. Granato definitely had a more tempo and teaching style to his practices while Ruff is hammering them into a Sabre ready to wield in battle through a combo of physical activity, tempo and a nigh zero tolerance to dumb mistakes. Were they just doing the hockey equivalent to NFL walkthroughs?
