  1. Everyones blaming Ruff for this, but whos to say that it wasn't a player (Cody?) that ****ed up and didn't get on the ice for the faceoff? The coaches and team are focused on the faceoff looking into the Caps end, they expect a player to be back near the blueline or centre ice just in case as per their plan, then after the faceoff someone realizes they are short and Cody hopes on
  2. About as distressing as having someone in a seperate room that has never seen or met you, that you won't ever see or meet see a silhouette x-ray of your body........... You may not hear regularly of people being caught trying to smuggle something in/on by one of those things, but god help them if someone gets in/on with something and they weren't screened before hand.....
  3. Of course it is, he has lived it many times. Unfortunatly guessing by his posts, he is the chubby slutty girl.......................
  4. wow, watching what the ref did, I would hope the NHL atleast talks to that ref and tells him to take it easy. There was no need for that besides trying to compensate for having tiny junk and wanting to look tough by pushing around someone smaller. I'm almost more pissed off at the teams non existent reaction to what the ref did to him then the reaction to the boarding by the 'canes player.
  5. If anything, I think the pressure is ore from the fans then Lindy. Ruff was the one before the season started that talked about him being good, but warned everyone not to put too much on him this year and was trying to calm the fanbase down who all thought he was going to step in and light the league up. Say what you want about the defence, but Enroth played just as bad as them. He was brutally bad last night on almost all of those goals, If that was Miller in net last night the entire fanbase would be foaming at the mouth for Darcy to cut him. That goal by Skinner Enroth just stood there on his knees and waited for him to put it in top corner, then there was the other one where he actually opened his five hole for i believe Staal to just put it right in. If he has a couple more games like this, expect Miller to have to play 40+ games this season........
  6. Maybe not the team, but I'm sure the guy doing the work may do it as a favour or for a cheap fee just to get the recognition/advertisement.
  7. Is this Carolinas Home Opener? If so, odds are this season Buffalo will win this one, only 12 of 28 teams have won their home openers
  8. Sad thing is, they can afford it, but I doubt any of them actually pay for it themselves out of pocket. I'm sure they have something in their contract where the teams prvide an amount for equipment, or the manufacturer gives them the gear to wear in exchange for them wearing it in games and being free advertisement
  9. ho would have thought years ago that Jagr would be one of those veterans that would help take younger players under his wing and teach them.
  10. Only 30lbs? Maybe the NHL guys where lighter stuff then what most amateurs get to wear.It is amazing how much a energy a quick sequence of a few shots and scramble in front of the net can take out of a goalie. When you face 1-2 shots and make a save and cover up its not bad, throw in a few rebounds and going up and down or side to side a few times in that sequence and it can really wear on you. Now I'm no wear near the shape that Miller or any NHL goalie is in, and I don't play against anything close to NHL like competition, but man, after a 60 minute game my gear is soaked
  11. As long as the rest of the country makes snow and weather jokes about Buffalo (or missed FG/Super Bowl loser jokes), Carolina can be attacked with Nascar jokes
  12. I think that it really has to do right now with how the teams been playing, over the last few years they have had some hot streaks, but they have played alot of bad hockey and that drains alot of the atmosphere from the arena. When the team is playing really well and looking more like a cup contender then a team fighting for the 8th seed, theres less to really cheer about
  13. you could always attend Stars games and sit next to T'eo's girlfriend holding a sign that says "Thanks for OTT, Sorry about Roy"..........
  14. Couldn't happen to a nice guyBut Seriously, a "tough guy" (I use quotes cause his toughness is mostly as a cheap shot artist) is out because of a bruised foot? Can't play through a little pain?
  15. He has the press box, so do they name just the broadcast booth part after RJ?
  16. Why would the Wings want to give up anything for a 2-3 week replacement? Thats why you have atleast 7 defencemen and a minor league system
  17. trust me, working in the construction industry and seeing the "profesionals" work, I wouldn't always go by what they say as being the correct way of doing things. many times those guys don't like change and don't want to do things any different then how they have been doing it even if thats not the best way to do it
  18. Yeah, but is that extramoney worth playing for the Islanders? You would probably play with more skilled teammates in bridgeport..........
  19. The good ol' City of Brotherly Love..............
  20. Smaller arenaYes that does result in less fans in attendance, but the smaller arena also makes it sound much louder. Most of the arenas in the league hold close to 18-20k and are huge Winnipeg holds around 15k and is much smaller making it sound much louder. Throw in the fact that they are in the honeymoon stage of getting a team back and that place should be LOUD
  21. I think I would stick with Bridgeport over playing for the Islanders...........
  22. Anyone ask Tom Brady? He seems to have good reviews of Buffalo Hotels IIRC..............
  23. Sharks also about to Sign Gomez within the next day or so according to reports
  24. Good place to intern, most places you learn the valuable art of getting the GMs assistants coffee just the way they like it, rumor has it with the Isles you get to actually make player decisions and contract offers, including spinning the claim or don't claim waiver wheel!
  25. I don't know, from what it sounds like gillis is saying, the deal is only not being done at the moment because the other team is insisting on the Canucks taking a bad contract back with them, of a player that they don't need or won't play because they might as well keep the guy they already know. Sounds more like the Flyers trying to dump Bryz on them in a swap and the Canucks don't want him or that contract cause they might as well keep Luongo if they have to take Bryz and buy him out brooklyn has a nice brand new state of the art venue that has a smaller capacity, it will be much easier to sell that place out cause theres less tickets to sell...............
