Game Discussion Thread GDT: New Jersey @ Buffalo 3PM 3/2/13

I think NJ has a better chance of scoring on our pp than we do. Maybe they should put themselves in the box more often in the second period. -
vanek starts a nice rush hits cody up the middle and he skates in clean..problem...cody cannot skate with the puck unless he is staring at it. all he need to do his touch the pass over to a wide open right wing for a premo scoring chance..Instead cody skates in too deep and takes 1-1000 shot. Tired of watching him miss open men. is he turning into Roy

this team needs cellino and barnes
-
Finley looks good

Not a big time contributing member , more of a big part of the problem kind of player...imo The number one buy out canidate taking a shot at the team, when it is down.. a smart man would have kept his tonque in check .imo

Odd that a guy who will get paid how much, scored how many goals, and has not yet played this year would have the guts to even make a comment like that.

Amazing logic/ Trade Vanek, Pom and Miller. The first question is what do you have to trade? 2.. If they all walk, do not resign, what do you have to trade to get their production back? Are they worth more resigned than as loaners? 3. Do you expect to get replacement value? or picks.. or both or neither? This whole notion of trade them while they are at their highest value is interesting. All three contracts are expiring. their value is diminished... what do you have to trade if you cannot resign them? A one year loaner? Highest value must mean a one year rental with no guarentee that the new team can resign them and you may or may not get some usefull unproven young talent and some picks? You are going to trade them for " you hope you get something of value" in the long run when they develope? Highest value is you traded for a one year loaner, you cannot resign and who will not lay his game on the line because he does not have a contract and is afraid of getting hurt? 4.How do you propose to replace their statistical contributions . Are you willing to pay more or less than they are making now for equivelent value and talent in the open market? Or are you going to find better for less in a less for more market. Did you notice what Nash got in the open market? If you offered Nash 3 mil more a year do you think he would have come to Buffalo? 5. If Miller, Vanek Pom and Reighr walk..are you going to kidnap skilled and talented players to get them to come to the Sabres. Maybe you are going to use the next decade to try and draft and trade your way into contention. If you are going to trade , what do you have to trade without Miller, Pom , Vanek And Reighr? If they walk how do you keep Ennis or Cody ? Will Codys value drop because Pom And Vanek are gone? 6.Who do the Sabres have who can effectively manage this transformation.... Darcy ? 7. Is it Millers fault that he takes all those unmolested shots from the red zone. Vaneks fault because he plays on a one line team with no center or pp or maybe it is all Poms fault that the other guys on the team are just not talented enough to compete effectively

Its the republicans fault. Had george bush not relaxed the fracking laws TP would have never made all that money and been able to buy the team.Lindy would still be coach. -
