I'm still bitter about the lockouts. I don't know if I'll care all that much anymore. Lindy is still coach, Darcy is GM, Miller's still the goalie. and the Sabres are mediocre. We just keep getting the rug pulled out from under us as Bflo sports fans.

what a stupid organization.

thanks for Ra-Ra Rasputin.

Is there an unwritten rule that everyone associated with the team has to call the owner "Mr. Wilson?" I hear it over and over again through the years and it sounds stilted and strange. I saw film of Gailey's last presser and he seems like a guy who has integrity and substance, a genuinely nice guy. I wish him well.

haven't seen any Amerks games but I notice that Leggio has 3.21 and Knapp has 3.37. Sounds like substandard goaltending...don't care if the kid is from Wmsvl. You need wins. Try out Makarov, can't hurt.

While this "organization" death spirals to oblivion, my thoughts turn to Vince Young and what could've been. http://bossip.com/649499/vince-youngs-crazy-purchases-that-drove-him-broke3920/

It's starting to become painfully obvious that the Bills have very poor management and coaching. :wallbash:

the Russian players are starting to fester. Here's Sergei Kostisyn's take...he also adds that Columbus is the gloomiest city in the US. Take that, Buffalo! http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nhl/predators/2012/10/22/sergei-kostitsyn-lockout/1649591/

Here's one... no one will hire Jay Mariotti, the columnist/sports personality from the Chicago Sun-Times. I know he's a girlfriend abuser but maybe he can reform...I wish Buffalo could get him...he's a national personality and Buffalo needs a gifted sports reporter like Mariotti...Could he be any worse than Bucky and Sully? http://jimromenesko.com/2012/10/16/will-anyone-hire-jay-mariotti/

Da Bills should just change helmets and use the old AFL throwbacks. Can't hurt.

I'm pretty sure he wanted to go to the Habs in '86 too in order to end his career at home.

LOL. :clapping:

thank you for clarifying that.

I'm pretty sure he wanted to end his career with the Habs. The way he ended career, just quitting in the first third of a season...it wasn't fitting. BTW GoBillsinDallas, thanks for posting the great video but it's Perreault, not Perrault.

Gilbert Perreault is the Babe Ruth of Buffalo. I can see it now... he'd take the puck and skate from behind his own net, the fans would all stand up. He'd go down the ice with his toothless mouth open, hair flying, beating everyone, then inevitably fake the goalie out too. That scene was replayed over and over in his heyday...it was an awesome spectacle and you'll never see anything like him again. It's just too bad that the team wasn't able to overcome Bernie Parent and the Flyers in 75. It's also regrettable that Gilbert retired at the beginning of '86 season while still averaging a point a game. I think he wanted to end his career as a Canadien, but the small minded management wouldn't honor his wish.
