yawn. fart.

looks like RJ's HOF pedigree isn't up to NHLN or NBC standards.

I hear Ovi is "a liability" -- w only 1 point. he's grown stale in Washington. A. Could the Sabres be interested -- they're certainly deep pocketed (and stupid ) enough. B. How long before Lindy would run him into the cement?

ah, gee thanks. you gotta love a lot of amazing goals in a row many that you haven't seen before.

Top 10 creative goals. Afinogenov's #2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJkEWfjUCOQ

He is a bit coltish I agree. Growing pains? His gait seems awkward and his decision making tentative. His confidence is low right now. Looking back, his best plays have been accidents. He falls down and hurts someone important. He shoots and it hits somebody and goes in. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything deliberately.

Don't worry, Lindy will find a way to break em up so he can theoretically spread the scoring around. In truth I think the team is demoralized with the Ruff way of doing things. Buffalo fans should stage a lockout: Stay away until Ruff and Regier are given their walking papers. Otherwise, we'll be banging our heads against the wall for eternity because things are never going to change here.

No thanks. The Sabres need an organizational enema. No more cronyism!!! It's a lazy, backwards and closeminded way to run a business. Leaders have to be brought in from elsewhere because this organization doesn't have any brains, foresight or leadership at the top.

Some people work best with a small, frugal budget and when you give them a big budget, they come up with "Ishtar." I'm starting to think the Sabres are the NHL version of Ishtar with a wonky GM who's in way over his head, a primitive coach and a clueless, meddling owner who loves the cronyistic atmosphere that has developed here from the Ruff-Regier years and likes to spend for expensive toys for the flash effect and has no idea how to run a sports team. I have a feeling he'll go the way of Rigas and Golisano in a few years.

booooooooo.

If he doesn't light it up in the next couple of games, I'd send him down. I'd give development the benefit of the doubt. Not too many 18 year olds are NHL ready.

If I was to take a word association test, the first word that comes to mind with the Buffalo Sabres coaches is nepotism.

who would want him in a trade at this point? Maybe he'd fit right in for Toronto.

I liked the way the d men and even Miller moved the puck this game. It seems more fluid, more hitting the open guy or the guy going the other way. I like Ott's statement goal. On one knee yet. Vanek, Pomer and Hodgson look like a good line. I think we got a few breaks from the refs -- IMO 2 Flyers goals should've counted. Myers is still a big doofus. Gringo showed a flash in the drive to the net. -
Here come the Buffalo Sabres!

Euro league stat leaders. For any Sabres, gp to the very bottom of the list (no scoring leaders surprise surprise). http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/story/2013/01/08/sp-nhl-player-overseas-point-leaders-stats-khl-sm-liiga-czech-extraliga.html

Nathan Gerbe is coming back from back surgery and the "offseason" injury report... http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/opinion/2013/01/nhl-injury-report.html

The Sabres greatest moment. Too bad it was in an exhibition game but I guess that's the character of this organization.

I like what Hockey's Future said about the Sabres: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/teams/buffalo_sabres/ STRENGTHS Depth at defense Multiple prospects are NHL-ready WEAKNESSES Goaltending quality Lack of size at center Top-end forwards In addition, Girgensons and Foligno are the only prospects with a "B" probability to succeed. The rest are C or worse.

I'd like to project Phil Housely as next Sabres coach, hopefully soon.
