A little off-topic, our national anthem singer is really weak! Totally thin and uninspiring, he looks anemic. You need a meaty type to belt out the national anthems to get things going on the right foot and get the crowd going. Compare our lilliputian to the guy for the Blackhawks:

The coach should have your back. He might have made an enemy of his own team in the early stage. He shouldn't have said that to the press.

Lack of crispness and flow. It's as if these guys have never played together. Many basic breakouts over the recent years have been ruined by seemingly unskilled first passes. I'm shocked at how consistent the bad passing is. We're small at center so we lack jam and authority with the puck and have given certain players wayyy too much money and they can't possibly live up to it. The megabucks have brought a sense of entitlement, complacency, floating and laziness. Most players have to be bribed or forced into coming to Buffalo and they play as if they'd rather be elsewhere. We need more players from around the Buffalo area...they're about the only ones who'll give 110 percent without asking.

I'm not sure I'd let Darcy trade off our future, especially if he may not have a job next training camp.

I agree. This current crop of players is weak sauce. I'm not sure how players "tune out" a coach. These are supposed to be professionals at the top of their field. Maybe the about-face that Pegula introduced to the team when he became owner is not good. Maybe the 8 million they spent on the locker room would've been better spent on a player. Maybe Pegula has unwittingly introduced a culture of entitlement with all his big money moves. Maybe Buffalo is just better off with a non-meddling owner and as an over-achieving team with limited resources.

Darcy deserved to be kicked to the curb more than Lindy. What a sorry collection of pukes we have.

Most of these mercenaries on our team play as if they don't care. I for one would like to see them ditch all the foreign imports and field a Sabres team loaded with WNY-S.Ont players who grew up loving the Sabres. They may not win but they'd show guts.

It seems like other teams ricochet wide shots off the end wall in our barn and score with amazing regularity. We get fooled time after time in our own backyard... Yet we hardly use that play. Are we just stupid, incompetent or both? I also see mass confusion in the defensive zone. I don't think I've seen any other team in the league with 5 guys in front of our own net as well as behind Miller in the goal like we have on a fairly regular basis. It doesn't help either. They've got to make some decisions about this logjam on D. IMO Reggie Bandaid Boy, Leo and Weber can go and Myers is on the bubble. Instead, I'd play Brennan, McNabb and Pysyk. If they don't go 4-1 at least these next few games, I'd pull the trigger on the underachieving D.
