I equally despise both sides. Ted Black is an arrogant corporate teflon type, the hatchet man, graceless, humorless and reptile-like, who takes flak for his conspicuously absent boss. Larry Quinn 2.0. Darcy ("we can work with this guy") Regier is cut from the same cloth and now looks like the guy that just escaped the hangman. The ownership seems to think they're the second coming...but the truth is they don't know what they're doing. Do they actually think that they're the only Buffalo owners who are focused on a cup? And the Buffalo news media are just an unprofessional bunch of buffoons with sandpaper underwear and clown hats, crying and complaining like children. I'm embarrassed.

on another note, I hear Erhoff and Vanek are going to play for their countries in the worlds. I'm not a big fan of paying a player 7-10 million a year and have them go represent their country at the worlds. Hello? I have to question their right to lay our big contract aside and put themselves at risk of long-term injuries. I wonder about the strength of the legal rights of the team and where these players loyalties really are.

I raise a long, tall glass of Weihenstephan to Jochen and wish him and his family well in Mannheim, with many more years of joyful, concussion-free hockey to come. It would've been nice theoretically if the Sabres lost and got a higher draft pick. I knew they couldn't hold on to a 1-0 lead. (Miller must hold an NHL record for losing a shutout in the 3rd period...) But it was good to go away with a win and not another bitter loss that would send the team into oblivion this offseason. It was somewhat heartwarming to see the afterglow of this unfortunate season at center ice thanking the fans by giving out the jerseys. And the fans looked pretty happy.

here in Boston I realized that there was an incredible stream of misinformation. My opinion is these so-called journalists wanted to get the story out first but didn't care about if there was any or much truth to it.

I'm convinced "Sully" (why do we give nicknames to people we despise?) is a troll in The Aud Club. It takes awhile to get a consensus opinion since he has none of his own except "whatever it is, I'm against it." He is unworthy of the journalism badge he wears but look around you, are there any journalists left?

Bad goals by Miller. He looked bad and the crowd was against him. Did he let it get to him? Or did he tank it on purpose? We'll never know...but it feels like his "swan song." ( I love that expression "swan song" so I just had to use it at this time)

I didn't see the game - it was blacked out in the Boston area - but I bet the real Ed Kilgore would've had something to say about it.
