Never heard of hockeystreams. Thanks for the tip.

Where'd you get that, from the Child's Golden Book of comebacks?

To clarify my previous comment for the clueless who are no doubt still pondering the multiple layers of meaning that they have injected into it, I think the Erie Canal idea is the Sabres Yellow third jerseys of song promotion ideas. I give you points for trying but it's a dreary song and should never be repeated.

For the first time ever, I will not get the NHL package to start off the year. I will wait. I am wary since the horrible entertainment from last year as well as RJ's absence. I have followed this team since day 1.

This is one disturbing cake. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/347058715005259484/

mistakes. errors, inept. the Bills always shoot themselves in the foot, it's their MO since day 1. they can't play a clean football game...very undisciplined. this has always been the case. football is all about blocking and tackling and the Bills have never squared up. as for manuel, he makes plays once in awhile but overall he's not confident and his shaky play shows. can't find the knack for eeking out a 1st down either...when it's 3rd and 7, he'll complete a 6 yard pass.

I love anyone on this squad who can consistently make a tape-to-tape pass and boy do I hate the ones who can't. Forced or unforced.

I wonder how much of the problem is Cassidy.

sounds like the young team is just like the old team. can't score.

Terry and Kim Pegula, owners of the Sabres AND the Bills

I like your thinking!

RJ is awesome of course. The fights are some of his greatest calls. Here's the Buffalo Ottawa brawl in 2007.

The list would have to include Mike Wilson, Jason Dawe, Real Cloutier, Grant Fuhr, Clark Gillies, Dave Schultz, Gilles Hamel, Normand Lacombe, Dale McCourt, Jacques Richard, Adam Creighton, Craig Simpson and Mikael Andersson. These talented players simply did not show up almost at all. Leino and Ehrhoff belong to the Fracker Owner and were simply a brainfart by a rookie owner who got taken to the cleaners by his own euphoria. Euros with bad attitudes is another sub category in the disappointments...Hasek,despite his regular season brilliance, had an inability to carry the team against stronger teams in the playoffs, the Kasparaitus goal and the forced trade come to mind. Mogilny was brilliant up to a point then became disgruntled at the end of his Sabres tenure. He would go on breakaways and miss every one. Others to a lesser extent were Euros who won cups elsewhere...Smehlik and Krupp. Other talented Euros like Sekera either didn't work in the system or after awhile decided not to put out. And Vanek with signing the offer sheet with Edmonton was a bad apple as well, despite all the goals. Blown #1 draft choices are a category of their own and topping that list is Morris Titanic, Shawn Andersson, Kevin Haller, David Cooper, Wayne Primeau, Erik Rasmussen, Mika Noronen, Barrett Heisten, Artem Kriukov, Jiri Novotny, Dan Paille, Drew Stafford, Marek Zagrapan and Dennis Persson, with Grigorenko and Joel Armia in waiting. Scotty Bowman aside, the biggest disappointment for me has been the four owners who have paved the way for this disappointing franchise. The owners pick the management who picks the players and time after time, they would get close and then STOP SHORT by not acquiring the 2-3 players to take the Sabres over the top. As a result the greatest players in franchise history almost all became disgruntled with their situations here.

My feeling is Perreault really wasn't really a leader but as a performer, he never disappointed. Sabres mgmt. stopped short several times of acquiring the 2-3 pieces to put them over the top and Perreault got very discouraged here. I think he def. wanted to be traded to the Habs but the Sabres never honored that so he quit almost mid-season while still scoring almost a point a game.. My biggest disappointment vote goes to Scotty Bowman, who won everywhere else but here. his Sabres regime might have been tainted by the owner's unwillingness to spend.

Bills' Doug Whaley should be under fire for failing to address the QB situation, which is the most important position on a football team. They are trusting the team to an often-injured player whose experience amounts to a rookie. "He who hesitates is lost." Whaley did nothing to get a backup either. Tuel and Thad Lewis are borderline pros. The Bills need a QB who excels in this league. They haven't found one in over twenty years. 8-8.
