I'm reading the autobiography of Derek Sanderson...can't put it down. Came across this clip of Sanderson running Tony O... reminded me of the Lucic-Miller play except Sanderson held up a little and the players were more of equal size. From the old Bruins playbook?

Has an entire AHL team ever been brought up? And where's Murray?
-
Just competing hard isn't enough. Sabres' lack of scoring is probably the logical result of having little talent, little teamwork, poor coaching and not having the puck enough. But at the end of the play I see lack of finish. Maybe the Sabres need a shooting coach...other than Danny Gare who would demand hard work which apparently the shooters are allergic to. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/bruins_nhl/boston_bruins/2014/10/shot_doctor_glen_tucker_helps_bruins_hone_their_scoring

You gots to keep this going. This man was the model for the slug.

This is probably why he's no longer a professional in the best league in the world. Nobody will take him no matter how good or bad the team. He has to lay all the blame on himself here. Venture to say he was the most hated Sabre of all time, even worse than Slava, who at least produced in his short time here. It seems to me the Sabres who play musical instruments or the ones involved in rock n roll are the biggest losers of all.

It's your privilige to disagree and I compliment you on not trying to insult the person you're disagreeing with like many on this board. However, I don't see any player yearning to come from a top team that has it's Shiite together to come to Buffalo, who clearly doesn't. Ever since Pegula led this team he has certainly sank a lot of money into it but money isn't everything. I think a team that already has its act together is a much more attractive place to be traded to as a player than what may become a perrenial bottom feeder..
-
My problem w any top team dealing with a bottom feeder like the Sabres is the Slava Kozlov phenomena. Anyone who gets traded to the Sabres will probably feel like a pawn, will not be happy to come to Buffalo and won't play up to potential. I just see that most players in the league would probably feel that way about an organization that doesn't seem to know what they're doing in a city that's widely perceived as the Siberia of the NHL.

I was once on a floor hockey team at the old American Indoor Street Hockey League that was so bad, we couldn't even get the ball. We were constantly under siege. One early Sunday morning, we lost to the championship team 33-0, due to the no slaughter rule. I think you know where I'm going with this...sometimes there's no getting around sucking.

Ehrhoff "frustrated" during his time in Buffalo
Marvelo replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Aud Club
It's not Albert Pujols money but it's Buffalo's version of swinging big and missing. Pujols contract Salary 2012: $12 million; 2013: $16 million 2014: $23 million; 2015: $24 million 2016: $25 million; 2017: $26 million 2018: $27 million; 2019: $28 million 2020: $29 million; 2021: $30 million Personal services agreement Sides agree that after the expiration of the contract or Pujols' retirement as a player, they will enter into a 10-year personal services relationship and Pujols will be paid $1 million annually. Milestone accomplishments The sides agree they will enter into a separate marketing agreement in which Pujols will be paid for the promotion and marketing of specified milestone accomplishments. Among them are a $3 million payment for 3,000 hits and a $7 million payment for 763 home runs. Award Bonuses Most Valuable Player: $500,000 MVP second or third place: $75,000 Gold Glove: $75,000 Silver Slugger: $75,000 All-Star election or selection: $50,000 World Series MVP: $100,000 ALCS MVP: $75,000 -

$860,000 a year until the year 2027-28. -
Here's a new Sabres tradition: How about having a big, hairy fat naked guy taking a big dump at center ice before every home game.

Please someone explain to me what Deslauriers brings to the table.

It's hard not to feel hostile and want to hurt these inconsiderate people. But friendly warning, the crappy stores are probably where the people with Ebola hang out. Besides everyone focusing on "Me, me, me" and being inconsiderate to anyone else around, there is the observation of a certain journalist that Buffalo football fans are the drunkest fans in the league. Note, there are many mean and loud drunks. I'm sure this isn't just one man's opinion and I'm sure there is a certain amount of these drunks at hockey games making life miserable for anyone else around. Buffalo fans have got to rise above this bad reputation that they reportedly have earned. http://www.foxsports...-the-nfl-081114 -

There is a level of selfishness and crudeness in today's society. It didn't use to be that way. People really don't care what they act or sound like to others these days. I'll bet whoever would want to swear at the ref at the top of their lungs would pull this type of act in almost any other place. It brings down everybody else who's around. There should be a level of respect for the people around you, especially if there are kids around. -
Looks like Mike is maturing this year, relatively.

forget this one, on to the next. forget the next one, then on to the next...forget the one after that...

Doesn't sound like he's going to be here for long.

Buffalo never had the puck, just like last year.

I like Ted Nolan personally but I think he's designed to coach teams that are transitioning from a crisis. Now this is the second time we've come to him when we've been down and out and it looks like things are going the same way as the first. We have a talentless team that tries hard, takes a lot of penalties but with good goaltending. The Sabres try hard, get rough, take penalties, get sieged and the goalie holds it to respectable. That's the blueprint this year as I see it.
