The "There Is Nothing Wrong With Jack Eichel" Thread
Marvelo replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Seems like Jack might have used a bit more seasoning but he'll get it. He was just 18 not too long ago and it's a big adjustment from college to NHL. -
I wonder if the team is in revolt over Boudreau. Their lineup is just so much better than what they've been showing.
-
I haven't noticed Moulson at all lately. I had to look at the boxscore to see if he played against NJ and DET. Maybe he needs to ride the bench.
-
It was close but a tie for last.

I had a philsophical discussion with a Lions fan at a bar in Key West. We brought up the question: What's worse: to be a Bills fans ( where they came within a few feet of a Super Bowl with 4 straight returns) or a Lions fan, who never even get close...

Tough love for Grigorenko and a challenging season for the Avs. http://www.denverpost.com/avalanche/ci_29238258/avs-coach-patrick-roy-trying-ignite-mikhail-grigorenkos

I really like the competitiveness shown in every game, especially last night coming back from a 2 goal deficit twice to actually take a lead. Compared to the last couple years, this is Hockey Heaven. That said, Gionta is fooling no one. He should be getting Legwand minutes.

Gionta, Foligno, Moulson... set em loose on a raft together.

Poor Ryan Miller. The Canucks have lost 9 of 12, Miller has given up 3+ goals in over half his starts this year and the WTF wave has been replaced by: 1. The head raise 2. The head shake 3. The dump position https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke-671xx8LI

the Yeichel goal call.

Wondering why none of the Sabres came to Deslauriers' aid during the beatdown. This seems to be a chronic problem with this team. -

Deslauriers' ear has got to be still ringing from that epic beatdown. What was that--ten shots in a row? Then another five in a row?The Dallas bench was laughing after that one. I want Oleksiak on our team! Moulson, Gionta, Legwand, Foligno, Larsson, Kane and Delauriers can not put the puck int he ocean. The three oldest guys should probably be under the microscope here. As other have noted, Eichel/Kane isn't a good combo. They're both snipers (without many goals) who need to be fed. I'm not going to follow up on Ennis, he's hit a rough patch. I think he'll come out of it. Maybe some new blood should be called up here besides Schaller? Bailey/Baptiste? PS: Scoring needed! -
If the Jets can get Hamonic for Mike Wilson 2.0 that would be great for them. Got to feel bad for the Isles having their hand forced like that...Myers must be looking over his shoulder a bit possibly being traded 2x within a year. To the Isles: Caveat Emptor. http://www.hngn.com/articles/152503/20151120/nhl-islanders-targeting-jets-tyler-myers-jacob-trouba-in-travis-hamonic-trade-scenarios-per-report.htm

All I've seen out of Lehner is inconsistency then long-term injury. There's nothing wrong with Ullmark-Johnson; don't break it.

Holy smoke! Nashville 7 - Winnipeg 0. Big Buff is not going to be happy after this one!

I've become a Legwand fan. He was an overall #2 draft pick back in the day, the same draft position as Reinhart and Eichel. He was the face of Nashville Preds being their captain for over 10 years. I think he is bringing fast perspective for Reinhart/Eichel, what it takes to be a major leaguer, day in day out. He might be slower but you still see him making the smart plays and good crisp passes and he's had a surprising number of chances himself. I think especially Reinhart looks up to Legwand. I'm not sure where I heard it but I read his leadership is so obvious that pretty much the locker room revolves around him.

I reconsidered and think RJ, who's in the HHOF and I'm not, can say anything he wants. As a bonus, RJ even made it exciting during the tough years. He suffered through the tough times along with us and should have the chance to get excited about a good team again. Eichel is exciting and I think RJ is getting a kick of of this kid's extraordinary skill level and level of compete.

Rick should read this thread and see how unpopular Yeichel is. I hope he's still in touch with the common man and realizes it's a bad call and abandon it.
