Sounds to me like he's being railroaded and offended the Buffalo "power structure" somehow. Athletes usually get away with much worse. I wouldn't be suprised if he has to leave. Then again, maybe it's an attempt at "SCARED STRAIGHT."

It bothers me that the kid is demanding a top six role. He has to make the team first.

I doubt Samson would have been able to switch from backhand to forehand with one of those heavy wooden sticks of the 70s. The sticks now are so lightweight. But you have to have the brain to come up with the idea of fooling the defenseman to throw the pass over the middle.

Nice. I love the way Sam faked his stick position and intercepted the pass over the middle...that made the play for me. If Kane is kept around, he is a good choice to go with Sam and Jack. He adds sandpaper.

I don't care to hear about the contract wheeling and dealing of this Eric Lindros-without-portfolio. He's totally unproven at the NHL level. At 23, he hasn't taken an NHL shift or even made an NHL team. Some players starting at 18 would already be in their fifth year. Oh, and he's demanding a spot on the second line and the power play. I wonder if he expects to play this year? I don't care if he's from Harvard. His contract demands (he also dissed Nashville) and his imaginary demands of a second contract is immature, entitled and in prima dona territory. I doubt he's anywhere near worth what he thinks he is.

After all this hype, he ll probably be average.

What if Lehner goes down again with yet another injury for an extended period? how many times will he endure long-term injury before packing it in? I think you still need a #1 goalie.

I'm ok with Kane. He might be a bit mental but he has a lot of natural abilities that doesn't just fall from trees. Look what happened with Seguin when he got traded. However, I would put him on a real short leash after this.

Buffalo has just gone through a historic two year non-goalscoring drought. I'm glad they're overloading on offense. I can't get enough offense at this point.
